Hexagram #32- Perservering/Heng...but why 9@3rd?

Hello Everyone,

Yes I know, I've been blasting this forum with questions. This is what happens when you are new to something and have too much time. Thanks to Candid, Bradford and the rest of you...I'm learning!!!

My situation in brief: I'm unemployed right now, the Yi suggested that I will be o.k. at my Unemployment Compensation trial, so I was going to use my time to finally start my own business venture. However, my family an friends keep telling me "I have to get a job...focus on what's imediate". It's a little hard for me to tell them "yes I know this...but the Yi Jing told me to stay focused on my hearts desire...everything will be o.k."- they would probably have me committed.

Recently, I asked the Yi "where will I find my business mentor?"

Hence: Hexagram #32- Perservering, 9 at the 2nd, 9 at the 3rd

I think that the Yi is telling me to continue on. My business mentor will appear when the time is right. Continue with market research, business plan development, and meeting who you need to meet with. But I don't understand 9@3rd:

*** You are betraying your own promise. Everything you receive will lead to embarrassment, becasue you cannot keep your heart steady. Surely you can do better. This simply should not be tolerated.***

Is the Yi scolding me because I've given into what my family wants for me, and I started applying for jobs? Does the Yi JIng from time to time address prior questions or concerns in the "new" question that one is posing?

9 at the 2nd and 9 at the 3rd seem the opposite? Then I got the Relating Hexagram # 16 Providing For/Provision Yu. Again this final outcome seems to be telling me to focus on the business, forget applying for jobs right now, and move on!!! But I must admit to everyone, that there is a large part of me that feels that this is all pretty crazy. Is the Yi telling me what I need to hear or what I want to hear?

Folks, I need some clarification please. Starting a relationship with the Yi Jing is harder than starting a relationship with a girlfriend (that comment was NOT intended to hurt any of our female members...I just have a hard time in my relationships

)

I think 32.3 is a warning about not being inconstant

32.3, 9 3rd
Lacking continuity in one?s character
Somehow continuing in such unworthiness
(What) persists (is) embarrassment

In my interpretation Yi is telling you that starting your own business venture requires time, duration, and constancy of character, i.e. obviously is not a quick and easy task.

So, IF you can afford to take the time and effort needed, and have constancy of character, no regrets about other alternative jobs THEN you can start your own business venture.
I think Yi is telling you what is needed in order to achieve results, especially continuity of effort.
