while going through a period of now 5 months of seperation and reevaluation from my partner of 5 years, which was initiated by him as a time to reassess IF we are right for each other and who we want to be in life. I have asked the question of "How he and I can find us again?" and I got Hexagram 47 (Exhaustion - and oppression), while this resonates with me on the level of our current communication not working and I would like to hear your views on the resolve or way forward. Dear Fiona,

I think that in order to "find each other again" you need to find a way out of Hex 47. The Yi is showing that your period of "assessment and reevaluation" is not working as it should be.

You must be talking to each other, but not really listening, the real connection is missing and there is a general sense of mistrust. You both must feel quite isolated as it must have been really difficult to express your feelings and emotions. All of that is just draining your energy, the "exhaustion" that, as you know, is associated with this hexagram.

I think that at the moment there is much more going on "inside" of you individually, rather than "outside" - both of you together. The assessment might have gone too far and might have become more of a internal process for each of you separately.

As hexagram 47 forms a pair with Hex 48, the Well, a source of water and life, you need to overcome isolation and confinement to re-connect again.
