Hello all,

To provide a bit of background, I am currently in a psychotherapy relationship (been seeing her for about 20 months) and my counsellor is currently away on a 5 week break. I know the work is not complete, but have found myself recently questioning if she is the right person to take me forward. I am unsure as to whether this me being defensive about my dependency needs, but I am confused about the situation. I have also recently started a new job and it is demanding, I had a difficult day today and asked:

what can I understand today and received 3.

I then asked

would it benefit me to seek a new counsellor and received 50.2.4 to 52

Lise says 9 at 2: The cauldron is richly filled. My companion is afflicted. Not able to reach me. Auspicious.
I am new to this and was a bit confused, but perceived line 2 as saying that perhaps my counsellor is burdened by something? I wasn't sure if she was unable to reach me because of my issues or hers..

Lise says 9 at 4: The vessel breaks a foot. The stew of the Gong is overturned, his appearance soiled. Pitfall
I wasn't sure about this, but that I need to exercise great care in any decision I make..

I am new to this, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes.

What can I understand today?
3 unchanging

3 is the hexagram of beginnings. Work should go better once you are settled in. The Judgment says, " It furthers one to appoint helpers." Is there someone to advise you on the difficulties you have encountered?

Would it benefit me to seek a new counsellor?
50.2.4 > 52

There are different kinds of psychotherapy. Are you satisfied with the care (food) you have received so far? I take the break in the legs of the ting to be your therapist's five-week break. Things could be solidified (52) when your therapist returns if you review goals with her and find when you can expected to complete them.

I agree with Pocossin about line 4 moving -- you have been relying on someone who now fails you.

I think you are in good hands with this therapist. Line 2 says the Ting 'possesses solidity' and that you are safe with her.

There is a problem with some therapy relationships that they can go on and on without reaching any endpoint, so I think you need to be clear about whether or not that kind of open-ended supportive relationship is what you're after.
