So I did the reading on here (although sometimes I wonder if the computer gives an accurate reading, and should I use the I Ching book?
Anyway I got 58, with 3 moving lines, 1, 2 and 5, moving to...I think it was 16? IE moving from Joy to Enthusiasm.
This seemed an extremely positive reading even though I've been very worried about my knee. I seem to have torn something mysteriously a month ago, pressing on the left knee as I was getting up from the floor. There have been days its hard to walk and really hurts and other days it's not as bad. Sometimes it swells up a bit.
Any thoughts? I was a bit surprised the reading was so positive. I am scared of surgery of course but I suspect it will be warranted as either a ligament or cartilage must have been torn from all the symptoms (clicking, instability, pain etc)

Though many use them I can't trust or take seriously computer generated readings

At first I thought 'water on the knee', but I'd expect that more from 29 than 58. 58 is energetic exchange, happy/sad, etc. But possibly "I am scared" is underpinning your reading. In which case I'd read the Yi as saying: Be content, relax, and careful not to entertain negative thinking - "Sincerity toward disintegrating influences is dangerous."

I think anyone could understand your concern, but I'd say that Yi's telling you to kick it up a notch in the confidence department.

I wish you a full and speedy recovery.

Hi Jen.
I am wondering if yes, you need to only "be here now" kind of thing, maybe seek close friends who understand, and even look for others, friends or not, that have had knee surgey.
I have a feeling you should be very careful wiht that knee.If you do too much after the operation, it will just get worse."Enthusiasm" usually means we get all ecited about some such thnig, and while it's not *bad* to be happy, we're getting ahead of ourselves.
As Meng said don't let anyone or anything make you feel bad, or confuse you.Just stay as calm and content as you can.'BTW.While I prefer to use my book, I've done various online readings, here and elsewhere. They always seemed to make sense to me.

You say you've gotten an MRI, but you didn't mention what the doctor actually had to say. I see 58 - 16 as encouraging you to talk this over with your doctor, to not worry and to be optimistic - 58.2.3 - but also not to be complacent - 58.5. Talk things over with a doctor. 16 is encouraging you that there is a lot that could be done to fast forward your healing.

16. it furthers one to get some help to set armies marching.

Hello,

So here's my part of the 'marching armies'! :)

I had the same problem a few years ago - badly hit my knee, and the pain and
clicking and instability (exactly as you describe your symptoms) went on for
months on end. I did book an appointment with a specialist (sports injury
physiotherapist - although the injury was not sports related but that's what
the doctor was called anyway). It took about 7 months to get the appointment
(UK you see...) and i was extremely worried of course. She was great, examined
the knee at length, and in the end just said that 'oh it's just so normal that a
hurt knee takes absolute ages to heal' (you can imagine my relief!). But she
did suggest a couple of exercises that should help it heal quicker. Namely: you
sit on a chair. Back straight. Slowly lift said calf to thigh level. And slowly back
down. Also: stand with your back on a wall. Slowly lower yourself as if preparing
to kneel - don't push hard, just as far as you can go comfortably. You can't
imagine the difference these two simple things did for me! Suggested them to
another friend at a point (who had similar problem) and did wonders too, odd or
what that these two simple things can make a difference?

To your reading - without wanting to give false hope, your reading sounds like this
to me: it's ok. don't worry. You're ok so be happy in yourself.

58:5 - "Sincerity toward disintegrating influences is dangerous"
AVOID surgery! do not go towards 'disingegrating' infulences!
"disintegrate = Break into parts or components or lose cohesion or unity"
(this is from a dictionary)
To me this says clearly to avoid surgery.

Of course im not a doctor, and im definitely not an authority in telling you what
the reading means (and who is!), but in any case, all this is my twopence!
