Interview: Hex 37 ALL LINES changing, Help!

Yes, it is about my job (again), I hope I am not boring you guys about my job hunt.

I just asked Yi, "What impression have I created to the interviewers?"

All lines Changing.

I have never received all changing lines. And Hexagram 40 suggest that I have to clear some air?

When all lines change, look at the resultant hex - 40.

A change calls for some feeling of optimism when the change is a release from long tension. But use the energy to complete unfinished work and establish a routine so progress continues. Looks like you've got your job.Let us know.

my first impression was close to circe's but there could be a dark side to this. All-liners show a lot of change happening, and if the head of the office making the decisions is too set on what is considered familiar and proper territory and people are inflexible in their demands, they might be reluctant to recognize the relevance of where you're coming from and decide to dismiss you . . . obviously not a good thing for you but we all need to feel comfortable with who we are and be appreciated for it if we are to respond to working challenges, if not, things get stuck and wasted . .

Thank you for your responses. I agree with Mazaru, why all changing lines instead of hex 40 alone?
IMO, my interview went all right. It was more of a meet-up session to know more about their company and if they have any opening position soon.

I asked Yi again, " will they offer me a position this year?"

this, doesn't look good at all. I am being oppressed? Liine 2 suggest the meeting. Not formal, in fact it was a last minute decision for a "meet-up". Line 3 is exceptionally scary and further supports Rodaki's opinion. I am being blocked, not able to advance any further because my good intention is not being recognized?

Now, what on earth is with Line 4? Isolated through opposition and meets someone of fundamental maturity. It is suggesting to me that my estrangement will be gone.

Then I receive a Hex 22. Erm, happily ever after?

I think I am stuck now. Too much is going on in my head and I am not able to place pieces of puzzles together. Further insights is very much appreciated.

Hmm now why would you take it you did something wrong 40 does not say 'you have done something wrong' it just says its a time of release from the tensions that held you


Seems like a fairly dramatic reading and my feeling is inclined to go with what Dora said because it looks like a kind of overthrow. Family, 37 is a connected unit, each knowing their part...then all lines change and the whole thing is released in 40 ! One gets the feel of a bubble bursting or something long cherished, like a tradition or dynasty or rather maybe here perhaps the hierarchy of the company sort of going up in a wisp of smoke and I wonder if this 'family ' is on the verge of a big turnabout BUT I get the feel, taking into account the question you asked they look at you to see if you 'fit' in with their family...but its like theres no room for you...and i say that purely from a kind of sense impression of all those lines in 37 being 'taken',literally already filled and then you are 'let go' (40) so i could easily see it as them letting you go, not for any bad reason but almost as a kind of surplus they don't need, they already have their full compliment of family.

I wouldn't swear by this because there could easily be another way to look at it....but my sense of it is they let you go. So I don't see 40 here as 'you have to clear air' i see it as them releasing you from their 'family' becasue theres no place for you.

I'm not sure if this is an ongoing situation because if they release you now why would they then offer you another job this year ? I assume theres a background story I've not read so can't help too much there


I don't see 38>22 as being blocked there are divergent aims in the situation and it may come right but whether its with the company you asked the first question about or somewhere else I don't know.


Anyway just my thoughts which could well be spectacularly wrong, its quite an unusual reading. I'll be interested to hear how it plays out



ah read abit more seems you aren't going for a specific job just enquiring about an opening...well that confirms to me theres no room right now in this family for you and they 'release' you...its as if they are a closed unit, a closed sphere, and you sort of slide off the outside of them.


later on it doesn't look like an opening is impossible, but 38>22 is quite an uncertain reading, so perhaps its not possible yet for Yi to tell the certain outcome here but perhaps you may be offered a more peripheral role at some point (38.4) and you may not feel involved enough (22?)


Given the 40 you may find in the long run its a beneficial release for you...I mean with 40 generally theres not huge regrets about letting something go, one moves on happily so as well as 40 being them letting you go it can also be you releasing the idea of this particular job . Not sure how that would feel to you right now though

I think it could be they have quite settled ideas about who belongs where to do what and if you don't fit they won't make room for you...and the second reading 38>22 could reflect if you did work there it may be okay but you might not have alot of leeway to develop...which reflects what Dora said i think

you are of great help.

I received an email from the company yesterday. Their reply was exactly what Trojan has interpreted from the cast. The email implied that there isn't any position for me at the moment as they have sufficient amount of people in the group.

Having said that, they added a note that they will keep me posted if there's any changes.... which brought me to the second question to Yi regarding a possible job offer from the same company this year.

The company's reply was very polite but I am rather skeptical how well it reflects their true intention. Anyway, I will definitely return to this post again if there's any development

when all lines are changing.... the meaning is that the situation is in a hurry motion... there is no way to interact within the situation..... thee best way to interpret is simply to see 37 as the starting point of the situation while 40 contain the real meaning.

from my point of view... considering your questions:

"What impression have I created to the interviewers?"
Hex 37.1.2.3.4.5.6 > 40

the impression on the interviewer was that they saw in you a person that is not fit for this step... they consider you a person that want to break with his usual life and jump into a new situation.
it's like to say: I need something new and the first thing is just good enough.
