I guess I don't really believe in bad luck but it seems like ever since we moved into this house things have been bad.

I don't think the yi does well with yes or no questions so I just asked why have we had so much bad luck lately?

52.3 to 23

I'm not one to say lines or hexagrams are good or bad

Line 3 talks about stifling something to an extreme degree? stifling desires?

I believe houses, apartments, etc, can hold energies of souls who have lived there before, particularly if events there with that person or persons were especially intense or traumatic.

I had a very uneasy feeling about this house for quite awhile after I'd moved in. My attention kept going to the attic, even though there's nothing up there but dust and duct-work. I'd lie in bed, looking up at the ceiling, feeling something up there, and the feeling persisted. It didn't feel as severe as if a suicide or murder had taken place there, but it was disturbing enough to note it. I performed some cleansing rituals throughout each room in the house and up in the dusty attic as well, after which peace fell upon the house.

I discovered a couple years later that the house had been rented to meth cookers, that people would be coming and going throughout the day and night, as well as wandering aimlessly around the street, according to a neighbor, who witnessed it. When the law was finally called to investigate, they found that the chief cook and official house renter didn't sleep in either of the available bedrooms, nor in the office. He slept in the attic, alongside his stash, directly over my bed. That is where the deputies found him.

23 can mean getting rid of those residing residual vibrations.

Oh, I left out reference to 52.3. I think these kinds of bad luck, bad vibes, lingering souls, etc. can be entirely real. So, trying to have a sense of peace about it, it still weighs on your heart.

I'd try smudging the entire house and yourself with white sage, and your family, if they let you, lol. If you have a personal spiritual faith, employ that as well, and at the same time. Proclaim authority over that domain, and require all intrusive energies and/or things to leave immediately. A mountain knows no fear or belief, but believing can move a mountain.

Thanks for that. I just ordered a smudge stick of white sage last night.

A few weeks ago I did ring a bell in all the corners and chanted and this took about 40 minutes to complete. I felt better afterwards. Things still happening. Like the hot water heater breaking and it being a complete hassle to get it replaced and it is still not replaced. The people just lied to us. Same day the lawnmower guy came to do our yard and he was about 10 minutes into it and his lawnmower broke and he couldn't finish the job. We had another lawn mowing service out before and he just didn't' want to mow the yard for us anymore and didn't give a reason. Our house was robbed about 2 months after we moved in. It just goes on and on.

Some of the theme is other people lying or think that we are lying.

Our robbery claim still isn't resolved 5 months as they did a fraud investigation on us which is just ridiculous. It was finally just approved but still haven't received anything.

Thought I read recently (from Rosada?) of a Mercury retrograde.

I had an awful time with simple mechanical audio gear failures and mishaps recently. It was a comedy of errors. Thank God for fuses!

I look at this stuff the same as seeing and greeting the Indian soul sitting on a rock when I'd walk by. If he was there, we both benefited, and if not, at least I benefited, and nothing at all was lost.

Maybe nothing's wrong, but the time doesn't favor action. The heart smolders, perhaps as a result, and nothing more. In which case, 23 could say to call off the priests and magicians (and possibly the prosecution?), and take care of biz as usual.

52.3 speaks to "forced meditation," when one strives to reach an appropriately cosmic state (in the view of the ego) although not really in an emotional-spiritual place to get there
"When we make a great effort to find the negative element to be dispersed and still cannot find it, it will come through naturally if we keep our mind humble and free. To try hard, even in trying to do the right thing, causes 'splitting apart' (Hex 23)" C. Anthony. Trust that the issues will pass in their own time. The cosmic wheel never stops.

Much in the line of Sooo's narrative, I was doing a rehab on an apartment of an older man who had drifted into Alzheimer's and had to be institutionalized. Trying to repaint his bedroom, I would find myself walking around and around and around....

Charging a bowl of clean water (to which has been added a pinch or two of salt water) with chi (or simply blessing it), and using a small of evergreen to sprinkle each room as you hold the intention of blessing the room, as well as blessing the boundaries of your property (you could use a simple walking meditation or prayer) might also be helpful.

Did you buy this house, Sunnygirl?
Maybe it is a spiritual challenge to live in houses that have bad energy...I lived in one and it wasnt until I was out of it that I realized how different it felt to not be in that energy anymore. I remember clearing the energy with feng shui rituals when I first moved in, and I have always been a candles and incense kind of person. but in retrospect, I don't think the energy ever really went away. some aspects of living there were always a challenge in some ways.

In these places, the need is for "chi"....this house was not conducive to Chi, maybe that was part of its problem! It was huge kitchen, but one long and narrow and not conducive to a good table where people could gather. It was like a house we "floated" through, and no spot where the energy seemed to gather and say: HOME. I am pretty creative with furniture and stuff, but it was a challenge!! It can be done, though. pillows and round rugs, chairs facing each other, that kind of thing. anything that brings chi, including mirrors

one good thing out of the challenge was the amount of work I put into transforming the land, esp the backyard. I had a very ugly patch of un-gardenable land , even resistant to grass- it was so choked by untended land with poor soil and years of tangled undergrowth. over several years lotsa work, managed to make it a very beautiful garden in the spring and fall. This was the back and because I put so much energy there, it flourished.

If you own the house and you have to live there awhile, like me, I think that imaging it as something that needs "redemption" is helpful. This may sound silly, but I "made friends" with a big tree in the backyard, and I swear that tree had a face! he was my buddy and I think he loved it when I made the area around him pretty. It also helped the energy of the house to feel more protected.

If you creatively make some part of the house a center of energy, and put flowers there, and make it be a place where the eye is drawn to pleasantness and people want to sit, the energy rises and the swirls in such a spot. some houses need Chi more than others, these need redemption. My particular house tended to be dark, too, another problem. Tall floor lamps that have a bowl at the top so the bulb shines upwards also really help. Fire helps!! i had fireplace I used all the time, and many candles.

and if you have a bathtub, use it often. that cleanses you of energy accumulated from the atmosphere.

challenges are not bad, just require the effort ....which can feel like a labor of love.

I really like the ideas to work with a house. There is a lot that needs to be done to the house. Our yard is weeds and looks like a jungle. It needs a lot of work. I'm quite a good gardener but I have such severe allergies to grass and dust, my head is stuffed up for a week of doing anything and the extreme itching. :(

I wish I wasn't such a lazy slug too.

I did get the white sage smudge stick and put a few leaves in a fireproof burner and went from room to room blessing the house and asking that any stale or negative energy be removed.

Some rooms really smoked up a lot and our bedroom it wouldn't stay lit at all so I figured it didn't need it.

I do feel that the house is more positive now. I am feeling somewhat more motivated and things finally were settled with our house being robbed and we were able to replace the items that were stolen!!! Then today we received the payout for the rest of it so it feels better.

I think it needs maybe one more blessing. :bows:

Bamboo, thanks for the tour. That was fun, and helps me understand how to gather chi in an environment.

I recently made some, what must be rudimentary changes in a living-room. The dang couch was too big to break up the rectangle shape of the room, no matter where it went. I replaced the couch with a sturdy love-seat, and was able to tilt it back a few degrees, allowing the front door to open. while open up the living-room. Then tilted the recliner toward the love-seat a few degrees, giving the whole room an actual shape besides rectangle or square, a place, and a considerably bigger place at that. You explained why. :bows:

Elias, interesting, round and round experience. whew! Good reason to stay grounded, especially in later years. Not to get lost in the sauce.
