Job questions ...again...

Hi,

I'm still looking for another job. And I haven't been very lucky so far . 2 weeks ago I applied for another one. And I asked the IC :

What if I keeping hoping for a positive response for this job?
I received 8.6> 20.

At that same I thought . But I thought this was clearly reflecting the situation: I applied at the last minute and I had little time to prepare my application. In the book I have it says that there won't be " a gathering if I arrived too late". (But I think Karcher's translation is different (A group without a head) which loses me totally ). And the relating hex. 20 is contemplating. So I guess I just have to wait and maybe reflect on myself.

Still, I casted again the IC with the same question 2/3 days ago ( Iknow I shouldn't) and I received : Hex.21 (Bitting through)

I'm not sure the IC amnswered my question but maybe the question behind the question : what should I do to get better? Bitting through maybe...Take difficult decisions about my job (leaving it).

Any insights ? Thank you for your help.

It doesn't seem such a great idea hoping for a positive response for this job for all the reasons you yourself gave. I thought the way you interpreted 8.6 was accurate.

As for the 21 well if you are waiting and hoping that ties up energy that could be better used to move forward. Perhaps 21 here means for you to be decisive with yourself, to stop hoping and make the next step. It could also simply be a decision on their part is being made now ? Whatever, they have to make a decision sooner or later.

I'm not saying you won't get the job for sure because i don't think the future is absolutely preset - ya know maybe they haven't decided yet - but you hanging on in hope could cause you to overlook newer opportunities and miss the boat there too (8.6 also)

The line appears that you may have rushed 8.6 if the begining is not right how can the end be?
and 20 to me shows that you have contemplating very deeply which make sense if you really want to move on in your career
Yes and 21 shows the harder side of this issue just a chewy piece of meat that is impossible to swallow

I'd be asking what can do to get the job i desire

I remember when i first left school and and got knock back after knock back and my mother told me getting a job can be like taming a wild horse u need to continue to get back on

Hello guys,

Thanks to both of you. This makes a lot of sense. Trojan, I'm still looking for other opportunities. I almost miss this one by hoping too much from another application ;-).

I still have to figure out what will be my next step. In what direction I should go. I'll try to ask what can I do to get the job I desire ? But I don't know if this will help me since....I don't really know what job I desire. I'm in total reflection about life, work and so on. All I know so far is: i don't want to do what I'm doing :-( I really need to bite through ....Once I know what I wanna do, I think I'll ask the question you suggested Steve. Thank you.

I'll keep you posted. Never know...they might call for an interview ;-)

Hello Trojan,

Since my post, I kept sending applications (I don't want to miss the boat) and when I thought that I won't get a phone call about that job...well I got one. They scheduled an interview with me. So maybe hex.8.6 meant I almost miss the boat in that situation and hex. 20 I waited quite a while for their answer (usually they answer faster since it's a position within my company) .

I don't know how it will turn out. I'll let you know. Thanks again for your help guys!
