I and my boyfriend are not sure if we will marry or not.. (I need to get divorced from my ex husband first ) ... well I am not sure and I was wondering what the I ching had to say so I asked : " What will become of Mike's and my marriage plans" and I received 17.2.6 > 10

please anyone help me with the interpretation cos I'm not sure . I have a feeling that Mike is the ''little boy'' I cling to and let the mature man go?? and line 6 confuses me completely

please please help

Hexagram 10 has to do with the way we live our lives, and it also has to do with rituals, and so it is fitting that you received hex 10 for a question about wedding plans, that is, the ceremony.

Hex 10 also has to do with how to deal with difficult people.

I usually interpret top line moving in hex 17 as meaning that I'll need to take the initiative by myself if anything is to go forward properly.

The man of 'age and experience' must be your husband, while 'the little boy' is your boyfriend? Well, you know, people judge us by the company we keep. The problem is that we cannot be associated with both types of men at the same time, I guess.

thank you so much for your reply Ginnie !! Yes I agree the man of age and experience must be my husband although he that is not true in the sense of the 2 words. My husband is an extremely problematic person... nothing mature about him to say the least .. But well Mike can be quite something too

I just do not know what to really do.. maybe the reply line 6 means I should get rid off both and start my life over again???

Maybe you are looking for Mr. Perfect -- and there is no such person.

I think that all the I Ching was saying was that if you want to get married again, then you'd have to be the one to take charge of that. That would be totally up to you, whether or not you're up to going through the divorce proceedings and whether or not you feel you can be happy with Mike as your new husband.

You might want to get the divorce anyway, without getting married to anybody right now, just to clear up the legal situation.

I was thinking about what you said here and you are right ... I need this divorce anyway and will do that first ..
..and marrying Mike or not .. I'll think about crossing that bridge when I get there :)

Thank you so much Ginnie ... you helped me very very much !!!!
