'Give your last money away - Need/Want it? - think about this crazy act - and now here is the lesson that you are connected'

'Lost the Fruit - Need/Want it? - Here it is - think about this - and now here is the lesson that you are connected'

Similarity?

I like your voice V.

Hope you stick arround

Void, I was at first tentative about the meaning of 42.6, and unclear. But after receiving 48, I knew in my gut what I was being shown, because I know in my heart the obstruction to union I would be causing if I don't allow anyone or anything into my heart and life. I've come far in the last 3 years after being stuck in limbo for the previous 2. So many hurts and disappointments, so many failures. Shutting the doors was the way to survive. Opening them again is the way to live. A dog is just a beginning, a difficult beginning.

Candid, I mean absolutely no disrespect here, but, a dog? Why not be a Big Brother, helping kids, or get involved with the local food bank, helping to feed people, or give free IChing advice to those who might be in need of it on the local level? I mean, all of those things (or similar), would have gotten you involved with PEOPLE, therefore assauging your loneliness and contributing to society. But, a dog? To me, this is more about isolating yourself further from humans. And for thanks, it peed on your carpet.

I'm just puzzled why you would pick a dog. But, remember, this is the opinion of someone who thinks humans were 'jumpstarted' by aliens.

I just wouldn't have picked the dog. No offense whatsoever intended. I AM NOT attempting to 'rain on your parade', I sincerely hope that you enjoy your pet.

Sunpuerh,

Fair enough, but let me ask you, would you also consider questions concerning one's livelihood as being equally vain and foolish? It is the means, after all, which permits the increase of material things to a person's life.

, or might he ask Yi for council concerning a questionable purchase? Well, if the Yi is responding to the question, to me that would be answer-the purchase is questionable and has the tinge of a personal facet of one's personality that needs to mature.

I once held an extremely high-minded and purist view of Yi also. Since then I?ve learned Yi can be extremely practical, including with economic concerns. An exalted approach can be equally delusional in that one can take their self importance too seriously. As for me, Sun, I find the Yi very matter-of-fact most times. I guess the thrill is gone!

About wealth and livelihood in general:

The model in the Yi is one can bring increase to the self by bringing increase to others. I don't think a livelihood question would be garnering hexagram 4 unless the undertaking is foolish. I also point again out that the answer may not be responsive to the question-I think in divining I would have cleared that matter up.

I think the path of the superior person would place more value on real accomplishments rather than superficial, material ones. Do I think the Hexagram means more than just being foolish, immature, and such? Not really, the hexagram represents a mind driven by impulse, instant gratification or disregarding obvious signs of something not quite right and being in denial about it - NOT THATI HAVE EVER HAD THIS HEXAAGRAM!

Leonard, I go outside to do the sort of things you've mentioned for people. Its letting people inside that's been the challenge. A dog is a beginning. Accepting responsibility for another sentient being is for me big step. I guess you'd have to understand my past to understand more completely.

Sun, whatever works for you during this phase of your life. If looking down on others for asking practical questions of Yi is a mark of immaturity, then so be it. I already know I'm a fool.

That was stated poorly. Will try again.

If asking Yi practical questions is to you a mark of immaturity, then so be it.

My only caution to you is: don't take yourself so seriously. It steals the sunshine from the sky, the ripples from the lake, and the laughter from the child.

Don?t listen to anyone who tells you what you should do or how you should be. Nobody has the right to tell anyone else how to live. And btw you do a lot for other people. The way you handle your life is a great lesson for humanity, and even if there is only one single person who learns something from that, you do more than enough. And what makes a dog less than people??? He is a living creature, just like humans are living creatures, I don't think any creature is better, higher or more important than the others.

Wishing you and Mojo a great life together.

Thanks LiSe, extremely kind of you to say.

My point was not about saving a dog from being gassed by taking him in, or about my reasons for doing so, but about how Yi provides a big lesson to our small question, if we're open to it.

For you..
