I've had a migraine for a couple of days.

What is the cause of my migraine

Hex 8.6>20

Seeking union without a head - you got that right Yi - well a head without ache would be good.

I believe that much migraine is caused by sore places in the muscles and tendons on both edges of the back of the neck. When these sore places (AKA trigger points) are massaged out by heavy pressure, the migraine should disappear. This massaging hurts and needs to be done several times a day for a week or two. It is so painful that no one else should do it to you. An electric massager is good.

I have not had migraine, but for decades about once a week I had scintillating scotoma, the visual aura preceding migraine. It was so bad that often I was temporarily blinded. I have not had another episode since I learned how to control it.

Thanks pocossin - I thought maybe it was relative to stress in my neck and shoulders - good for you I must get an electric massager for myself. Oh yes the blindness is the worst! - Liss

I think 8.6 shows a muddledness, a lack of central organisation. There are too many details pressing upon you.

You need to prioritise what's important, make a list, do only as much in a day as you can cope with. You are trying to think of too many things at once, overloading yourself.

That is one reason I'd worry that now is not the right time to make a decision about cutting your son off as you discussed in another thread. It's all big stuff Liss.....don't overload yourself.

You have to find your central focus and go from there....you are too distracted.

It's all too much to think about

:hissy:

that's why you have a migraine.

so prioritise and don't overload your brain cells

You are right trojina I do have a lot going on in my head - it's mainly to do with business which is a good thing but the other disorganised stuff is the residual of the end of my marriage/family breakdown - it maybe over 5 years now but I realised there have been many changes in me in that time.
I tried to hang on to my dream of having a family unit but unfortunately it hasn't panned out that way and yesterday I realised I had to let go of that dream and really get on with my own life focusing on my needs and wants and stop putting things on hold in the hope that we will come back together somehow as a family unit. My sons and I not my exhusband.
The boys are old enough now that they are really leading their own lives and it's taken me a while to let go and understand that. The decision to cut off my oldest is a clear decision and I feel so much better in myself for doing it, sad as it may seem to others. - Liss
