Thank you Anon2 for helping Anon1. Maybe some of the regulars are having a well-earned holiday weekend!

49 and 51... Radical Change and Shock... brrr! I know you asked specifically how he felt, but like Anon2 I am not sure that this is what the answer is about. It reads much more like advice for you.

(By the way... asking what someone else feels is about the most confusing and potentially misleading question you can possibly ask Yi. The best way to find that out is to ask the person in question!)

With those two 'big change' hexagrams, I would think that the feelings involved are still in a state of stormy and unpredictable change. Quite possibly he just doesn't know yet what he feels.

Line 3 advises against rushing into any big changes - or any big commitments - without first talking about them. Not just once, either, but again and again. So I think that the oracle is advising you to talk with him, to ensure the two of you start to harmonise your ideas about the changes you are experiencing - and the changes you want.

Line 5 says that when the great man changes, no-one needs to consult an oracle to understand and trust what is happening. I think that when he does get his feelings clear, you will be the first to know.

Me thinks Yi expert is an oxymoron. Does one expert his Teacher?

I'm on the bus with what's been said here. But if Yi was answering the question asked, he's thinking that you excite him and are helping him to shed his past.

Hard to say with these things.

Line 3 'could' say: fools rush in where angels fear to tread, he's looking three times before leaping into this relationship.

Line 5 'could' say: Don't worry, you'll know exactly how he feels. I guess he expresses himself well?
