My story was finnaly published!!!

I wrote a story back in December of my friendship with E. It has been a long process even though it is only about 4 pages long. An editor was just speakng with me this morning and has also read 2 others - 1 of which E and I collaborating on together, but that one is still "Pending". The irony of this is that E and I sent each other beautiful good-bye letters (we love to write especially to each other LOL) and he was always asking when was this one going to be Finalized. HAHAH

We just "Finalized" our relationship very sweetly this past week. today i got the OK and the story was published. did not know whether to cry or laugh...so after i sent out a MASS EMAIL to family and friends, i sent one to E and to my surprise and IRONY...He is out of the office on vacation. so i guess, when he comes back he will have a nice surprise.

My Question, to the ICHING was - WILL THE PUBLISHING OF MY (our) STORY BRING US TO COMMUNICATE AGAIN? This is what i received...

HEX 36 - Brightness Hidden with changing lines at 2.4.5.6<HEX 15 - Integrity

In reading about Hex 36 i am confused as to what it actually means. Shining bright or the sun going into the earth and the light is dark. The darkness was just brand new and now i am wanting to make it light again. i am not seeing this...sorry

how does this pertain to OUR happiness and excitement as this was something we both wanted to see come into fruition.

Please explain...i am so happy after such a difficult week of losing my job and of our mutual separation.....

Hexagram 36 Darkening of the Light seems to me to be referring to the fact that your friend has not responded to your email. He is "hiding his light."

As 36.2.4.5.6 changes to hexagram 2, not 15, I am wondering if you misread your toss?

Hexagram 15 Modesty suggests to me the friend wishes you well but does not want to rekindle the romantic relationship. Modesty has to do with keeping things very calm, not going to any extremes, not rocking the boat, just sort of a keep on keeping on feeling so I don't think your friend wants to change the relationship as it is now.

Hexagram 2 Receptive would also imply the friend is "receptive" to your news but does not do anything to initiate change.

It's hard for me to believe that since you spoke to him so recently and your news of the publishing is so positive that he would simply ignore your email. Perhaps these hexagrams mean you don't hear from him right away. The lines in 36 make me think the story and getting it published will clear up the misunderstanding between you but even so it looks as if he does get involved further.

He is on vacation. We have no romantic intentions now. This all happened this week. So i woud imagine that he will not see this email until he gets back.

the first line on the bottom was red solid, but then it became divided on 2.4.5.6 then it changed to Hexagram 15 (Integrity-Modesty)

We have been going back and forth wth these stories for so long that it was a thrill to get them out there so people can read them. very heartfelt stories that we are so proud of. I can't wait until he sees it. Also, I am imaginging that he will only respond via email, i told him lets not talk anymore or contact each other, it was just until i got the word from the publisher that i went Paralyzed with Happiness and let him know.

I do believe that i read this Hexagram correctly, please, is there something wrong.?

also, in your last paragraphy - that would be nice, as there was a misunderstanding, but i would rather not even bring it up with him anymore, that was the past and that is what got us into trouble. this could be a blessing.....what does this last paragraph mean to you?? It looks as if he does get involved further?

Perhaps these hexagrams mean you don't hear from him right away. The lines in 36 make me think the story and getting it published will clear up the misunderstanding between you but even so it looks as if he does get involved further.

Thank you for sheding some light on this.....I only wanted to let him know....what happens after this, would have to be different.

Auugh, I mis read 36.2.4.5.6! It doesn't change to hexagram 2, it changes to hexagram 1! But now you are saying you are certain your toss was 36 changing to 15. In that case you did not have four changing lines but only one, the line at the beginning. So your actual toss was 36.1 > 15.

Also I miswrote in my earlier posting. I meant to say it appears to me he does NOT get involved further. I said this because 15. Modesty is about bringing things into proper balance. I would certainly think that a simple email "Good job!" would be the appropriate, proper balanced responce, to your news, but 36.1 talks about someone making grand resolve - you two agreeing not to email? - and then having problems keeping that pledge, so perhaps 36.1 > 15 in this instance is meaning that you do not hear from him as he is trying to live by your agreement not to further communicate. Further it is interesting that 36.1 says the man does not eat for 3 days. Perhaps he really is out of the office and does not take in your email for three days.

Or perhaps the I Ching is saying to you that although it is difficult for you to keep your resolve not to communicate, to Darken your Light (hex 36.1), perhaps you are being encouraged that ultimately you will feel better, more centered (hex 15) about your decision.

i did not directly email him, just sent him the link to where he can see it on the site. Actually, the irony is that I DID NOT WANT TO COMMUNICATE FURTHER, I DID MAKE A PLEDGE, AND HE READ THIS, I would not have sent him anything, had this not of happened. Wonder if the Universe was playing.

any other insights? or is this cut and dry folks?

we already had our say with each other. Even our letters were worthy of their own stories they were so good (LOL). Maybe there is a site or place where some of the best "Break Up" letters/stories have ever been written is around, so we can have them published (LOL)

well, since, believe this or not, I do not have half the sentimentality of love and remembrance than E has.

Juy 13 and September 22nd have HUGE signfiicant meaning to this guy. More than me, so i suspect...these days will bring word from the MAN.

Gosh, i hope i did the right thing in sending him that link. but reading about these Hex's, it does make sense.

The color red means the line is moving. Only the bottom line of hexagram 36 was red and only the bottom line was moving, Amy Luisa. You don't need to mention or look at the readings of the lines that were not moving and changing.

We would write it this way: 36.1 > 15.

If I could put it into words, this is what I'd say: "Be more realistic, Amy Luisa. Your mind is racing at a million miles a minute, but there's no way. Yes, it's a difficult situation, but try your best to face all the facts. There's no way at this time that your wish is going to come true."

Only the lines highlighted in red are actually moving and changing. You can ignore all the lines that are not moving. That is, if a line is not red, then ignore it.

It seems sort of complicated at the beginning ... No rush, though. It becomes easier with time.

Have you ever done a fast?

Sometimes it has been suggested to me upon getting H36.1 > 15 that if I fasted for a few days, my mind would become clearer and I might receive a few insights that could be very helpful to me.

It's a difficult situation. But it's not the worst kind of situation, either.

I suspect the way you phrased your question, "Will the publishing of my (our) story bring us to communicate again?" rather than say, "What will be his responce to my including him in my mass email?" gave folks the impression you were wishing to hear from him as it sounded as if on your side you were open to renewing the communication.
Yet another example of yes-or-no questions resulting in confusing answers...

i still feel that he will respond, we are very interested in each others writing and we were proud of this one. It was partly his work.:bows:
