Parametric_feature_based_modeler

Parametric feature based modelers use change states to maintain information about building the model and use Lisp expressions to constrain associations between the constructive solid geometries. This ability allows a user to go back to the feature history and make a modification at any state and to regenerate the model's boundary representation based on those changes. This ability is called a transmigration operation.

Constructive_Solid_Geometry

The simplest solid objects used for the representation are called primitives. Typically they are the objects of simple shape: cuboids, cylinders, prisms, pyramids, spheres, cones. The set of allowable primitives is limited by each software package. Some software packages allow CSG on curved objects while other packages do not.

It is said that an object is constructed from primitives by means of allowable operations, which are typically Boolean operations on sets: union, intersection and difference.

Self-referencing of a dichotomy takes us into 3d geometric forms starting with the pyramid aka tetrahedron (blend, bond, bound, bind - and so trigram pairs heaven/earth, lake/mountain, fire/water, thunder/wind - meaning space is the space enclosed by the coordinates - this comes from basic development where a category, to be such, distances itself from all other categories WITHIN the set of categories defining the whole. This 'pushing away' combined with the overall 'pull together' of the whole elicits geometric forms of expression.

Positive feedback - push away, negative feedback - pull together (get closer to)

Each level of recursion moves us towards the 2^12 format of a dodecahedron.

These 'ideal' forms come about in nature through mindless growth dynamics where we idealise the patterns. NOte that the containment of noise elicits order and these geometric forms associate with such in that the order is derived from self-referencing.
