Using some perspectives/methods from PCT (for PCT info - http://www.pcp-net.de/info/ )

We first number the trigrams/emotions/IDMcategories:

1 ? heaven, anger, blending (expansive)
2 ? lake, love, bonding (expansive)
3 ? fire, acceptance, bounding (expansive)
4 ? thunder, surprise, binding (expansive)
5 ? wind, anticipation, binding (contractive)
6 ? water, rejection, bounding (contractive)
7 ? mountain, grief, bonding (contractive)
8 ? earth, fear, blending (contractive)

Combine them into sets of three and then, from those threes, form patterns of a pair from the other. Once set up, identify the SAMENESS that links the elements of the pair, and then the DIFFERENCE of that pair with the other element in the triad. List these in the form of dichotomies (sameness label ? difference label). As such we focus on a cooperative relationship (integrating) and THEN on a competitive relationship (differentiating).

The set of all possible combinations for the trigrams is given below (note we can do this with the hexagrams by grouping the hexagrams into octets ? so in the above we could slot in the hexagrams from the binary sequence with earth base as (top to bottom, 1 to 8 in the above table) 12, 45, 35, 16, 20, 08, 23, 02 OR in octets from the traditional sequence (e.g. 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16):

Given the triad of elements 1,2,3 from the table:

(a) identify the sameness that links 1 and 2 and then compare that to the difference manifest in 3.
(b) identify the sameness that links 1 and 3, and then compare that to the difference manifest in 2.
(c) identify the sameness that links 2 and 3, and then compare that to the difference manifest in 1.

Note that the gerund nature (ing-ness) of the qualities means we can interpret something as if an object (A yang) or as if a relationship (To yang)

Compare all of your constructs, or a particular, or set of, with those created by others to pick up sameness/differences in perspectives. Each construct, or set of, is a reflection of a particular mindset and as such part of the whole that is the sum of all mindsets. Identify the sameness across each mindset brings out the ?universal? nature where we derive qualitative expressions. The IDM categories take it a bit deeper in that we deal with a source of expression at the unconscious level ? and the IDM links with the IC mean that the IC has that access to representing the unconscious as well.

The set of 56 completed constructs represents a perspective on the IC as a whole.

THEN, introduce context to the construct creations ? IOW the 1,2,4 construct is a universal that when placed in a context can elicit local influences on the sameness/difference associations ? or a SCALE of differences ? as such, 1,2,4 is ?perfect?, universal, and then 1,2,4 in a context of X means the relation of, say, 1,2 is measured on a scale of 1 to 5 etc.

We need to start at 1,2,3 to focus on differences/sameness dynamics to maintain a triadic perspective that is then delt with in differentiating(1)/integrating(2) processes.
