Hello everyone!
I came across an old thread where I read a post about the effect of Jupiter in one's natal chart on meeting potential partners which I found very interesting. This forum focuses on I Ching, however I think the astrology is a complementary way of understanding one's situation; especially in this particular case, as a large part of questions are about relationships.
Back to the post I mentioned:
I've noticed it time and time again - your own personal luck for where/how to meet a partner is wherever Jupiter is in your chart (= whatever the House describes, that's the situation where you'll meet a partner).
I am fairly familiar with astrology and natal charts, but not very much with planetary houses. I have my Jupiter in IV- cancer- while the house IV is in Gemini. My take is that Jupiter in the 4th house means I will meet my partner through family/extended family and/or in my hometown; or someone who has the same roots as me will be my partner.
What do you think about it?

I think Jupiter transits are the possibly the most over rated astrological aspects going.

One can find Saturn transits actually bring far more in terms of solid commitment and don't forget how one experiences both Saturn and Jupiter transits does depend on their placement and aspects in your natal chart.

I have Jupiter in my 4th house in Sag and have never met any of my partners through extended family connections.

Sort of, but not quite. It's not as simple as that. The 4th means roots, but Gemini does not like roots much - Gemini prefers intellect, and exchange.

You've got natal Jupiter in 4th house: home, family, familiar, nurturing, emotions, females, femininity.
And your natal 4th house is in Gemini: communication, intellect, exchange, trade, siblings.

Combine the 4th with Gemini, and play around. If you've had a few relationships in your life, you will probably see a pattern more easily. Examples of playing around with the above notions (these are only examples, there can be other scenaria of course):
  • when you communicate (or trade) with familiar people
  • when you hang out with female relatives
  • when you shop for clothes (or when you sell clothes)
  • when you work as a cook (or as a counsellor)
  • someone familiar with who you first meet as friends (or who is your tutor)
  • through a family business
Also keep in mind that it's important to look for other significant astrological events, related to your natal Jupiter (conjunctions, oppositions, trines, squares). This will help further define your 'luck'.
