Please help with hexagram 44 with 3,6 changing and moving to 47

Hello all!
First of I would like to thank everyone who offered their sincere insight in my marriage situation within past months.
I think my journey is over and facing official papers filing I asked iChing "what should I concentrate on right now?" I received hex 44 3.6>47.
Papers are not filed yet. He blames lack of time, money, and knowledge on how to proceed.
But nevertheless feeling that my life is completely empty without him I asked oracle fir guidance.
I'm not keen on the jobs I have, have no desire to socialize, and have no hobbies. Basically nothing to proceed with healing process and filling my life with other things.
The answer iching gave me is again confusing.
I have no skin on my thighs means I have to resist temptations. What are those temptations? And again there is no answer on what should I be concentrating.
Line 6 is about horns. I have to stop being stubborn. Stubborn about what? Trying to find new concentration?
What us your understanding? I was hoping to get a certain answer so to speak. But it is extremely almost not to the point of the question asked that I'm puzzled.

You do have a hobby. Your hobby is to search this forum and look for meanings for 44.3.6>47...because from what you have written you seem to have very limited information about the meanings of these lines. Have you got Hilary's book ?

Also you could start a thread in Exploring Divination all about possible meanings of 44.3 or 44.6 or 44...There is masses here on 44. If you go top right of the screen you will see 'Search' under which is 'hexagram search' where you can look for all the other answers about this cast. Starting a thread in Exploring Divination is a hobby in it's own right....one never knows where it will lead Yes starting threads in forums is a perfectly respectable hobby.

The 47 is clear in your answer...you are depressed and imagine life meaningless without him. Perhaps 44.3 advises this is one of your life's hardships, something difficult you have to face...something so demanding you lose the flesh on your thighs.

I assume you didn't want the break up but it seems you have it. Maybe that is the 44...maybe it is meant to wake you up and move you on but instead you have become depressed.


I think you might benefit from making yourself do some hard work (44.3) Learning about the I Ching can be hard work.

So your task is to search these forums and please report back here on all the possible meanings and experiences others have reported on 44.3 and 44.6. Then please apply these meanings to your answer.

You see you do have a hobby ! I look forward to your completed assignment.

I have found this which sorta, kinda related to my situation.

I know that my thighs are skinned, but how to get that skin back on them.?

Good observation. Yi often does this. It shows you how things are. Understanding how things are is perhaps all you need to do right now. Your change patterns are yang pattern 52, yin pattern 58 so doing this

isn't helpful. The reading doesn't say 'winter is coming' it says you are doing or learning something that is hard for you and it takes all your energy. It doesn't say 'avoid it'. It shows you 'meeting' it in 44.6.

Also it occurred to me how much like 44.3 what you say above this sounds. From Hilary's book..

Notice whilst things are so painful and hard there is still 'no great mistake'.. This suggests that the pain and trouble you experience are not the result of anything happening that should not have happened, that they don't mean you messed anything up. It seems the pain and trouble is part of your journey in life. So the idea is not to get away from it as fast as possible,(though it would be nice) but to recognise there are times in life where you are a bit of a hero struggling against the odds....like in all the stories.

I think the reading is encouraging you to bear up and recognises you are going through a difficult transition. This is too big a thing for a yoga course or a trip to fix. It's a major thing for you so give yourself some credit and understand that this struggle in itself is important life work for you.

The message of 47 is important to take on board. You do have inner resources...that is where you need to turn. This thread on 47 may help

Hello!

As an update of this situation....
Line 3 - thighs without flesh. It looks like I lost a lot of it. Went down to size 2 from 8.
Way to loose your flesh. )))
Line 6 - meeting your horns. Guess what, I continued growing a pair all this time. My husband kepr talking to the girl he cheated on me with. Hid her number under some fake name in his contacts. So even though I thought he is becoming faithful to me I still "met my horns".

It is strange how IChing works. I was saying that before (maybe it is only my experience) I can never get the oracle until after the fact.
