Political unrest- 30UC

There are worries that the situation in our country could degenerate into a bloodbath in the next few weeks. I asked: what is the energy surrounding this situation and cast: 30UC.

Hah. I fully expcected something like 49UC (my standard hex these days). But i have always associated 30 to something bright and positive, if its handled carefully. What to make of it in this context? Especially unchanging.

1) Clarity? Ie the political situation is becoming clear. Dynamics which were hidden are coming out in full light. Protagonists are becoming aware - population, politicians, media, foreign powers. It could also mean clearly drawn out camps in a potential civil war...

2) Igniting? Build up of passions and tension - that is actually happening now. Maybe it will be a flash in the pan. or maybe The whole thing explodes into a great ball of fire, then burn out. The episodeis a flare up that could settle fast.

Butit is 30 unchanging. So clarity or igniting that lasts for a long time and leads nowhere?
I wonder if anyone has any thoughts?

I find that asking the Yi to answer politically-related questions is limited in usefulness, perhaps because dynamics are so much more complex when asking about whole societies and the way they change...more volatile? In relation to your question, though, I would read this as saying that the situation is already smoldering...there is perhaps the possibility that the flames will be fanned again, but for now it's simmering in a controlled way, and balance/peace seems possible. A sense of solidarity and interdependence always comes out of this hexagram, so perhaps it points to different groups finding ways to lean on each other and achieve a kind of harmony. Just my interpretation...but again, I'm not sure about asking the Yi to predict the outcome of these kinds of things!

Thanks Folledeschiele! Your reading of 30 as solidarity and interdependence resonates... a few days ago, I asked what we could expect from the situation and got 8UC, which suggests some kind of Bonding of society around wiser principles, similar to your take n 30UC here...maybe its all happening in the background, its just hard to see right now... The thing is, living in such deeply unstable times, it is tempting to turn to divination for comfort and guidance...

That said, I actually wonder if I ching it was developed specificlly for that purpose, because so many hexes are about or apply easily to government, community or military strategy. Consider 7: the army, 8: alliance, bonding, merger 16: enthusiasm is about having a strategy and rallying troops, 21: justice, 33: retreat,35 judgement is all about political alliance 38: opposition, 45: gathering together, 49: revolution etc... Just a thought!

Hi,
I'm not a scholar, but in a broader sense its about the smaller( a human entity) as well as the biggest community( humanity). I would say its about human conditions but this would exclude no-humans and nature itself so, i guess, its about life and its energies.

Was reading something about music yesterday and thought something similar as i could see in the text specific lines or hexs.
