That's the weird beauty of India though isn't it?
Asumtions have a habit of not working there... That was India's great gift to me anyways.
Magical place!
And yes - to those who do not know the place... Soshin could have been wearing those boots on the train and still never seen them again... chuckles.

Hi Soshin-
The "Dexicant" was from Val's dream too.
She was asked to find it (clearly not in the dictionary though).
The "Shigong Bai Matrix" is just wordplay on the "Bagong Liushi-Si" Matrix, a 10x10 square instead of the 8x8 you see in the Yi.

Val, can I ask a dumb question? *What* person in 37.1. Is there any significance to the fact that there isn't an obvious person there at all?
When I look "around," the closest people I see are in the Karcher Image Tradition for 37:
"Dwelling People.
The woman correcting the situation reaching to the inside.
The man correcting the situation reaching to the outside.
Man and woman connecting.
Heaven and Earth's great righteousness indeed."
So the men are reaching to the outside in the dream; is there a corresponding reaching to the inside?
Other people nearby are in 38.6, the companion line. There it's a bunch of people milling off stage that appear to be ghosts or filthy pigs - but it's actually the viewer's anxiety that makes them seem fearsome, when the viewer tries to make an alliance the rain comes. Sort of like the 48.5 invitation. Interesting, because I could also ask, "what people?" about 48.5. It's just a well, a well in really good order. (Like the dwelling place?) What's coming into the well (from out of the field of vision) is living water. Does living water have a name? Does the man in the dream need to have a name in order to be invited in?
Just thoughts - throwing them out there really as dumb questions in case they spark something for you...

did you ever read "Momo" from Michael Ende? It's out of print in the States, but one can get it from amazon in used condition... It's a longseller in German, though. I thought about it when I read the posts from April this years you mentioned. And there are the men in grey... And a wonderful, enchanting story..... Guess you may like it.
