Perhaps I should be wiser than to even contemplate this question. After all, the relationship I asked about ended in June, as written about in a previous post. Then I met someone new and that is progressing very well - lots of love and joy and light.
But then today a mutual friend of the ex- contacts me and mentions her name and all kinds of sorrow rushes to the surface. And I reminisce (no doubt deleting all the co-dependency and the pain) and I miss her and I wonder if she misses me and if one day we will find each other again.
In the kind of half-hope that I would receive a resounding NO! I asked the question: "Would a relationship with P be good for me?" and got 9.1.2.3.6 > 8.
Now that's a lot of changing lines and I'm never quite sure how to deal with that, but here's a take on it with a special focus on Hilary's "Sequence".
"Seeking Union naturally has occasion to tame things, and so Small Taming follows".
Could this actually be about my current relationship - I have chosen who I belong with and now I need to begin the detailed work if the potential is to be realised? That does actually feel right (despite the sorrow in the background.
But then there's the literal interpretation of the actual answer to the actual question:
Small Taming - clouds gathering, but no rain, working slowly, steadily cultivating oneself (for what I wonder?). The build up of pressure (is this the grief I feel, the uncried tears?).
Line 1: you returned to your own path (the relationship ended)
Line 2: circumstances have forced you back to your own path - this is actually a blessing
Line 3: strain/stress - the centre cannot hold - more emotional intensity than the structures for communication can sustain (you are holding back the grief and it needs to be released, not just glossed over?)
Line 6: Cloudburst - the rains pass, the tears have been cried and the energy is there for life to grow.
If someone were to say to me that this interpretation is correct, I would be relieved - because it frees me to love again freely. But my confusion is that I didn't ask about my current relationship - so what is it that Yi is answering here?
Any responses very much appreciated while I contemplate the rolling tide of feelings.
