You got 51 with 2nd and 5th lines changing leading to 58?

Hi Mike

Assuming I have understood your casting? Here is a perspective on it.

Your reading is most interesting as 51 Thunder / Shake and 58 Tui ? Open / Joy are both formed from the trigrams being doubled.

You will probably know that the lower trigram is held by some to be a representation of the inner world and the upper trigram that of the outer world.

When the trigrams in a hx. are doubled it indicates a congruence between your inner world and the world outside... in this case I suppose that means your 'ex'. These are stable times of being in tune. Here I suppose it means that you and your ex. will be in tune.

The moving lines are of course the movement or bridge between the two (I am staying with your view if the second hx. representing a second time which is not always the case.)

Hx.51
This hexagram represents a transformative time? 'We expect some turbulance seatbelts are generally recommended at this time.

It represents a great stimulus that shakes the world and youself into renewed action. This is the time of spring and the early authors of the Yijing believed it was the thunder that shook the world of nature back into life after the Winter.

A most appropriate Hx. for this time of year.

However this Hx. can represent a sudden shock which surprises and sets things in motion. This could be a pleasant surprise in terms of this renewing relationship.

There is a warning here in the T?uan Chuan or as Wilhelm called it the ?Judgement? - ?He does not drop the sacrificial spoon? This is referring to the priest or perhaps king who is involved in making libations with a spoon when the ?Shock? comes. Essentially he/she keeps his cool and continues with aplomb. In everyday life the message is clear? ?don?t let go or forget to attend to your other matters that you are involved in.? Don?t let the new change make you drop everything else.

This is most often a ?good? Hx. it is about renewal in spring.

Lines:

These are the qualifiers to the Hx. which might represent two time sequence events or they might simply be qualifiers.

Line 2:
As this time develops you may get a sense of loss or losing something in your life? This line simply says, ?Look this is transformative change? relax let those things slip away? you will lose nothing in the end? go with this wonderful flow.?

Line 5:
Again keep your focus? remember that seatbelt too! As the shock / surprise settles a little there are old argument and memories that can come back to dog the situation. Deal with them in a balanced and open fashion and they will loose their power and let you continue to enjoy this spring growth.

Leading to:

Hx.58? Joy upon Joy - Chatter and sharing (as in market place and exchanging)

This is the hexagram of dancing as well?

I didn't give you the inner hexagrams... I guess you know these are made up of lines 234+345

They are held by some to be the inner kernel or sometimes the inner potential of the time.

For Hx.51 it is Hx.31:

Limping and feeling afflicted.
You will feel there are some obstacles and at times you will feel hampered. Stick close to your own friends and support network and you will clear these.

This is probably the nature of the turbulence.

For Hx. 58 it is 37 Dwelling People or the Household

Here is the potential hidden in the Joyous Dance? that a household is formed.

Remember it is not written in stone? it is merely a potential that could sprout in this time.

All that I have said above is the nature of the time as reflected in your casting. It is a roadmap. Remember you are he driver and through your choices you maty drive into other territories?
