Hi, Seeker - A couple thoughts on your recent posts...
The 49 -> 2 reading - to me that sounded like a good case for interpretation via the change to the resulting Hex. So, 49 represents the big changes going on in your marital (and perhaps also spiritual) life - the transition to Hex 2 represents a (temporary) time of stability, quiet, "laying low" that you will probably soon come to. That time can seem mundane, even boring, but it has its uses - it's your opportunity to "become" the new you: develop the attitudes, habits, and environment that fit who you (now) are as a result of the revolution.
Hex 5 - given that you received this in regard to X, I'd think that it means you need to wait for circumstances to change: you certainly can't see him while he's with his old girlfriend + you don't want your unpredictable ex-husband running interference. So, you would definitely need to wait for these things to "clear up" for seeing X to be a reasonable possibility.
As for the development/nourishing that you do during the time of waiting, I think, in this case, that it is similar to what you should do per Hex 2, above.
Now, does this mean that things WILL clear up so you can see X? I certainly wouldn't want to make that prediction, especially since you've been through so much distress over this. However, it's to your advantage to "develop the new you" during this time whether or not X becomes available. If he does, you're ready and if he doesn't, you're ready if/when another love interest shows up. So, it's helpful to you either way. (And of course, it's helpful to YOU regardless of your romantic situation.)
Probably the reason the I Ching has been so positive about you and X is that (from what you've described) there is a real connection there and he feels it, too. However, if either or both of you are tied up due to circumstances, well, what can you do...?
BTW, I don't think what I've written really contradicts any of the valuable advice from others above. It's more like a different way of looking at it.
