I just tried to submit a post and was told by a robot somewhere I couldn' t because I didn't have the correct 'security token'

what the heck is a security token ?

I was logged in, what more do you have to do these days to post a post ?

Has anyone else been apprehended by this robot demanding these security tokens ?

I think we should shoot it

anyway the brilliant post (not) was lost forever cos I ain't writing it again...perhaps the robot didn't like it it so he invented a security token rule to block me

who is this guy ? some kind of desert bandit ? Things have gone downhill ever since Hilary moved the site to the desert

Oh its okay I just had an email from Hilary to say its nothing to be concerned about, its just the antics of a rather eccentric border guard....you just have to refresh the page or something ...
....huh but you still lose your post don't ya ?

admittedly sometimes thats a good thing

BS your posts are always interesting and informative - I reckon anyway. A lot of the time I copy my post before I hit submit cause a couple of times it has sometimes got lost and that is so damn frustrating blah - I only like to say things once online and in life! and if you don't get it the first time - look out lol

I do the same on longer posts, copy/hold the text with mouse. If it fails and I back page, and if it's empty or redirected, I can paste what I just wrote and try again.

However, I just found this Firefox add-on which claims to solve this occasional problem; also available for Chrome and Safari browsers.

Ever had one of those “oh $*#@” moments when you've finally finished filling out a long form, and hit submit only to see an error message? And when you hit the back button, the form was blank... If so, you know you need Lazarus. And if not, you have a chance to install Lazarus before disaster strikes!
