I got 49 to 13
I think it's saying that i need to make fine, steady changes instead of going overboard and changing superficially, too fast.. and that i need to stay true to myself instead of conforming to what i think other people want. So i think that i should do it but just don't go too much bigger.
Lavalamp - I'm sorry to be picky but if someone said to me "you need to know when to stop" and I'd never had any cosmetic surgery before - my response would be "hang on! Why? It's just a boob job!"
Which actually begs the question... Hippiebarbie... have you already undergone multiple procedures? (Botox, lipo, nose job etc.) if so - then lava lamp is right, the Yi is telling you to stop.
‘Noble one transforms as a leopard,
Small people change their faces.
Setting out to bring order: pitfall.
Staying put with constancy: good fortune.’

The small people would never initiate change themselves but make superficial alterations to fit in with it as best they can.
Surgery comes with some risk at the best of times. It's rough on the body -- that warning is explicit in the line text -- and by itself it won't change anything about your way of being in the world. That transformation can't rely on appearance alone.
But if looking different helps remind you of the role you want to occupy, so that you can go forth and be that person with confidence and conviction, then you might derive some value from the surgery
The only thing that seems clear is that this girl is rushing towards an idea of perfection and may not understand the risks of undergoing this procedure. In this sense it can go very wrong. I've been in that position myself and thank God I waited a few years before doing what I did.
I personally don't think the Yi is clearly saying no - I think it's saying don't do it right now, don't rush. I get this feeling from other modern interpretations. Pathfinder.com says:

To attain maximum success in a revolution is like traveling to a faraway land; you must know when and where to stop. Otherwise you may find yourself in the end lost and in danger, overshooting your desired destination by some critical distance. Take your changes only as far as necessary to remove the corruption, and then stop to maintain your good fortune.
Then there's:

and Taoscopy
Line 6
"Hexagram 49
Friends ask one to wait for them before reforming."
well you may be right about the botched surgery - it seems that 13 is advising she should do some research, since there are communities like "Realself.com" that talk about their experiences with surgeons.
