I agreed to call a friend next week when I'm in town, to meet and discuss taking the next step. I feel that moving forward now is premature. Now I'm having second thoughts about having that meeting, wondering if even that discussion is premature. Or is it just me chickening out of a conversation that needs to happen?
What outcome for our meeting? 12.2 > 6.
Clear: I am being offered something unsatisfactory, say no and suffer the consequences in silence. The context is conflict- we have different views, don't argue, move on. No wonder my instinct is to avoid it! But could there be any value in having this discussion anyway?
What if I don't call when I'm in town? 9.3.4.6> 58
This seems better than the first option. 9: gentle restraint is a good description of not calling. 9.3: focus on fixing the immediate problem, don't blow this out of proportion? 9.4: with sincerity bad blood vanishes 9.6: be content with small gains, do not aim for more- which is exactly what I want. 58 describes our relationship very well- joy and growth from exchange of ideas. But 58 encourages sociability, meeting, not staying away. And I did give my word...
Any comments? Am I reading this right? I am a bit puzzled by 9.3 and 9.4.
I was wondering if there was any benefit for me in making contact when I'm in town, however unpleasant the outcome. Sometimes there is value in taking a stand - a test of character, insight, whatever... I cast: 17UC.
How interesting! I take that as a clear sign to enjoy doing nothing, nothing at all. No cancelation, no confirmation. No agonizing. No need to decide now. Just listen to my intuition, watch what happens and wait for a clear sign to follow. I will decide on the day.
