Should I make my artistic creation public. 35.5 --> 12

This one has me really confused. My question is around whether I should release a couple songs publicly in the next week or so, and the first hexagram, 35 (Progress) and its changing line (5) seem definitively positive; however, the second hexagram, 12 (Standstill), seems like the inverse of the first. I suppose it could mean that releasing the songs will have good results, but then I should expect a period of stagnation afterward.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Oh yes you should release them, it's a good thing to do. However the line advises you not to concern yourself with gain or loss

'Regrets vanish.
Let go, gain, no cares.
Going on, good fortune, nothing that does not bring harvest.'

So 35 is a time of going forward and line 5 is a lovely line that tells you not to care about what you gain or what you lose. This is the 12ness of the line. One isn't truly seen for who one is in 12, rather one is seen for what use one can be and so even in a time of flourishing creativity feedback might not be all you'd hope for but that absolutely doesn't matter it's still good to go ahead.

I personally love this line since I always seem to cast it when loss and gain are the very nub of the question and Yi comes skipping along insisting that losing and gaining are not important which is immensely freeing. The idea with your reading is that even if you don't get positive feedback right away you need not mind because just going forward will bring harvest and good fortune.

No because the relating hexagram isn't the future that follows on from the primary. The relating hexagram is surround of the question, what the question is sitting in. Think of the primary as the pickled onion and relating as the vinegar. With one line changing anyway that line is very important, that's what you go by. Yes the 12 is there but see it as a 12 flavour in that line, which is why you are advised not be worried about loss or gain. 12 isn't what will happen, there won't be a period of stagnation following, it's all happening 12 wise right now.
