Stagnated Qi Hexagram 40

Hi to all,

In May this year I had a nasty violation against me which caused me great shock. A couple of months later I am not feeling all that great, go to an acupuncuturist and she tells me that my blood is not replenishing itself which can be caused by a shock.
I have tried many things since including more acupuncture, changing my diet, meditating, milk thistle so many things but really to no avail. It got so bad I ended up with a fairly lengthy bout of CFS.
I appear to be over the CFS but still I am biting my tongue consistently and I basically look like crap despite the fact that I am eating a very well balanced diet of grains, vegetable, fruit and meat.

What is causing my Qi to stagnate - Hexagram 40

I am doing a lot of releasing of stuff created from family patterns in my life, pretty major stuff in the bigger picture. If this is what is causing the imbalance I guess I need to ask how can I get the blood moving again.

I can I encourage my body to start replenishing my blood

Hexagram 54.2.4>24

I have just put an order in for the Bach Remedy Star of Bethlehem - for old or new trauma and White Chestnut for anxiety.
Returning is what I hope - returning to my blood replenishment, the rest I don't understand here.

I would love some help on this because it is causing me further anxiety not being able to find the answer.

thks Liss

Hi to all,

In May this year I had a nasty violation against me which caused me great shock. A couple of months later I am not feeling all that great...

What is causing my Qi to stagnate - Hexagram 40

I can I encourage my body to start replenishing my blood

Hexagram 54.2.4>24

H40 seems an odd reading, to get Deliverance, or Release from Obstacles, when asking What is Causing Stagnation. Obstruction might cause Qi to fail locally, but unless common sense has been banished, getting rid of obstacles is a necessary precondition for curing Stagnation, not the cause of it.

So I would take the reading as a note from Yi suggesting that you do have to let go of the past, and that will cause the life force to be active and vibrant again. "Letting Go of the Past" is the prescription for Stagnation.

In the reading Hexagram 54.2.4>24, how to encourage the body to start replenishing the blood, it paints the picture of someone in an inequitable situation.

Returning From a Secondary Role
Returning To a Secondary Role

or perhaps more likely:

Renewal While in a Inequitable Situation

Dr. Balkin writes an attractive commentary on Line 2, which might apply.

"A one-eyed person has been injured or blinded but is still able to carry on...Stick with your beliefs even if others have abandoned you.

Things have not turned out as you hoped they would. But it is important not to let disappointments undermine your ability to cope with life..."

Line 4 is a reminder that although time is passing, your attempts to find what is right for you, and what works for you, are not in vain, and that you should keep focus on your values and on what endures. Your return to a more equitable situation will return in due course.

Although there is nothing special in the reading that points toward a type of cure, you seem to be a person in the grip of emotions and reactions. Life is a balancing act, and those who don't balance pay in penalty in longevity and health. I suggest countering all this emotion with movement. Run, or if you can't run, walk for long periods of time. Listen to music while walking, not the repetitive thoughts in your head. Try to move rather than allowing emotions to overwhelm your thoughts.

In addition, since you are interested in alternate healing modalities, may I suggest homeopathy. Have a look at this link, and consider Arnica to begin with (I took some today) and some of the other suggestions in the article. I have many years experience with this system, and have found it often more effective than most other approaches.

Thanks Tiger your words have encouraged me to keep going and I understand letting go of the past will help me in more ways than one and the website confirms that my healing via alternative medications is the right way to go for me. Dr. Balkin's take on line 2 certainly resonates with me.

I found this post - from hopex

thank you Ix - just looked up line 2

water flowers - yeah i have been lauindering and
will do balcony flowers today - good to be back

line 4 - he frolicks in moonlight - yeah goes ski-ing

from this thread
//www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?t=13298

My understanding is that one of the methods of creating the Bach remedies, or any other flower essences for that matter, are to soak the flowers in water under the moonlight.

I would certainly like to clarify hopex's post on this. - Liss

Qi stagnation is normally due to tension in the body. So one must release it. Blood replenishment is a different matter, and will require a greater earnestness. That would likely require some form of medical or homeopathy help.

Thanks Gene - do you not think the 2 are relevant? The stagnation and the blood replenishment I mean.

I have been walking more as Tiger suggested and upped my grain intake which seems to be helping a lot. - Liss

I would say it is VERY relevant, but it is not something that is easily dealt with. That is why I recommend some kind of professional help regarding this matter.

I think the answer is simple, hex 40...your Qi isn't stagnating and you don't need to do anything

what does 'blood not replenishingitself' actually mean....I mean from a biological POV its nonsense. Of course your blood is replenishing itself it can't do much else. You have been given some very vague diagnosis you believe...let go of it

You ask how to get your blood moving......? Its already moving, it never stops moving, well only when you are dead.

Acupuncturists use very different terminology that can be alarming.....but there really is no need to be worrying about moving your blood, your heart is doing it for you

Stop worrying and relax thats what 40 says,,,,nothing more complex than that

40 says if theres something to be done do it, if not let it go. As your blood is definately moving or you would be dead you can let it go.

You hardly need a 'professional' to move your blood your heart is doing a good job all on its own.

ETA much as i favour many kinds of complementary treatments I personally would say the only way any one would know about how much your actual blood was being replenished is if they took a blood sample and analysed it...so if you are really worried go to a dr. Hex 40 suggests you can just forget the whole thing though IMO

Thanks trojan I don't actually disagree with you and I have a feeling when I take the Bach remedy Star of Bethelem it will shift/release what ever needs to released. I actually look like I am in a state of shock most of the time. Liss

I think what liss is talking about is anemia. Of course the body creates blood, but for some people the creation is slow or it is an improper mixture of white blood cells and red. It is a very serious matter. I still recommend a doctor.

Gene yes if there is a suspected blood problem its time to get a blood test from a Dr. I don't dispute that..I didn't realise thats what you meant by a 'professional' I'd assumed you were both talking about seeing another complementary therapist or taking supplements etc. All those things are great for sustaining health but if you need to know if you do actually have anaemia or not you need a regular blood test. I wouldn't just take someones word for it and worry about it

If Liss had anaemia she'd need iron not Star of Bethlehem

Guess I'm ranting but people have gone so far against western medicine they now seem to take the word of anyone who claims they know whats wrong with them as long as they are not a Dr and so can end up worrying and spending a fortune on supplements they don't actually know they need. Not saying that about Liss in particular just generally here on SR people seem to come along saying they are very ill and relying on flower remedies and so on and concerned they have things wrong with them that are often based on a lack of understanding of human biology. I guess this is going tohappen more in the US as people have to pay for health care and don't want to visit drs

Anyway all that aside hex 40 is a very good answer IMO. It doesn't point to anything sinister IMO. Not that I'd presume to give diagnoses of course but if i had hex 40 unchanging in relation to a health issue I think I'd either take immediate action and have it medically checked out in order to disperse worries or try relaxing the worrying for a bit and see what happens.

I also feel 54>24 is saying time is the healer here. That things will naturally return to their usual function. 24 is a good indicator of that. 54.4 I see as the delay, the having to wait for things to settle down. It will happen in its own time, you can't make things happen with 54

Meantime agreed Liss take anything you think may support you...but don't worry. And if you get really worried please have a blood test from a medical Dr though i don't see the casts as worrying

People go against western medicine because it is for the most part worthless, and has caused more problems that it creates. Drugs are dangerous, and on this side of the pond almost everyday you hear about a lawsuit against a drug company because of the side effects. Nevertheless, they can normally give good diagnosis.

and thats just a generalisation with no facts to back it up.

If you break your leg or have a heart attack do you wander off and buy a flower remedy or go to hospital,

Ideally all kinds of healing approaches could work together alongside each other as they are beginning to in the UK. I understand in china both 'western' medicine and acupuncture are used together. All approaches have their strengths and their limitations and it cannot be disputed that wetsern medicine has saved countless lives and prolongs countless lives.

Yes there is misuse of drugs but that does not mean the whole of western medicine is worthless.

I both give and receive different kinds of energy healing but that does notmean I would indescriminately encourage people to abandon all advances in western medicine...we need everything , all of it, working together.

I think I may have a different perspective becasue as I said things are very different re health in the US than here.

Personally I like to treat the cause rather than the symptom but I think both medicines have their place and certainly in Australia many (western) doctors are using holistic medicine in their practice.
Blood tests reveal I have had both the Ross River virus and Glandular Fever in my lifetime and both of these generally result in CFS and a rebout can be triggered by something like a shock - this is what I understand has happened to me since the incident in May especially as there have been a couple of other highly emotional and mental issues occuring.
My (western) doctor spoke with me and rather than just writing a prescription he gave me a medical certificate giving me 3 months off from my studies etc. and said just take time for yourself for a while.
That was at the end of September and it really is only in the last couple of weeks that I have begun to feel like myself again on all levels but particularly physically.
I am aware that I have very high anxiety which I can only imagine doesn't help my health in any way so this is also why I am getting the Bach Remedies.
Also now that I am physically getting stronger I have started doing yoga and a gentle fitness program which I hope also helps me.

I also feel 54>24 is saying time is the healer here. That things will naturally return to their usual function. 24 is a good indicator of that. 54.4 I see as the delay, the having to wait for things to settle down. It will happen in its own time, you can't make things happen with 54

This resonates with me trojan and I believe this is very true particularly as I continue to release the past and embrace what is shaping up to be a very positive future if the last couple of weeks are anything to go by. thanks for your support.

Thankyou gene for taking an interest and helping me understand things a little better.
