This is torturing me!!

Hi everyone,

I am not usually one to continuously dwell on things I have no control over, but this one is not going away. I was in a relationship with someone who was, I know, stringing me along.....I realize he met someone who I guess he was more interested in but, for some reason, would not tell me and just fed me all kind of bewildering excuses for about 6 weeks before I just simply sent a text stating the obvious: that he lost interest and that I have no idea why he would choose to not to tell me and leave me feeling foolish.

Ok, pretty straight forward....I have not contacted him again and that was about a month ago. So....just move on right??? I guess I want more closure than I got, but I would rather be set on fire than ever initiate contact with him again. So anyway, I have asked several times if this man will ever seek me out in the future and have gotten

53.3.5 > 23 or a variation of it more than once. I just received this again this morning around 9 am....I am hoping someone can interpret it for me. I know i ching aside, the obvious answer is forget about it and move on...but I am having a really hard time with it.

Dear escape20,

53.3 discribes a situation where promises have not been fulfilled and warns that focusing on the loss - the "husband" not returning - can lead to more trouble if the "wife" then lets her whole world fall apart instead of moving on.

That certainly seems to be telling you to get over it! 53.5 however is not so easily interpreted in this circumstance. It says that after three years the wife will bear a child. Does this mean your friend will reactivate your connection? In view of what we know of your whole situation i think we should interpret this line to mean that if you move on there will be another and very suitable partner for you down the road - hopefully sooner than three years!

Hexagram 23 also seems to support the idea that this current fascination went too far too fast and has now collapsed.

Thank you Rosada and newlife for your responses. There are many things that I know I am unaware of that happened as a lot of what he actually told me was not true. I gave him many opportunities to be straight up with me that he didn't take and opted to actually end up doing far more work by having to tell me stories and give me excuses....I don't understand that at all, we are talking being strung along for about 6 weeks (I'm too old to be this dense).

Anyway, there is always a part of you that wants another chance....to be the one that gets to decide, not the other way around.
