To go or not to go

Hello, everyone happy to be here.

With our current state of affairs in the world today, like high gas prices to name as one example, it can seem like it is a little difficult to earn money these days. At least that is the way it has been going for me lately. Even others around me can seem to be a little bit financially challenged, and so, I have been on the look out for an opportunity to earn funds.

While I am currently away from home on vacation visiting my family, a friend of mine back at home mentioned that he knows a place, near to where I am right now (about 300 miles away), where there was an abundant amount of mushrooms he discovered last year. If the mushrooms are there, which they might not be, I could harvest them and possibly sell them and earn a decent amount of funds.

Because I am low on funds and resources for this adventure, I am reluctant to go. I do not even know for certain that the mushrooms are even available for harvest right now in the first place. If I had abundant funds, I would be more than happy to take the risk. I know I can be better prepared for a trip next year.

It would be nice to know if the mushrooms are there or not. That the adventure is worth it or not. Will I succeed if I go, or will I fail if I go?

Yesterday (07/05), I decided to consult Yi. Avoiding a yes or no question, I asked Yi:

"What if I leave day after tomorrow to where Bobby described near Toas, New Mexico to harvest Amanita Muscararia?"

Yi answered with hexagrams: '15.3.5 to 8'

My interpretation is that Yi is saying that it would be best for me to see the project to the end. That I consider all the logistics and do all that is necessary to ensure the journey is a success. because I have limited resources which effects my moral to go, I need hexagram 8. Holding together or associate. That I reach out to others for help.

When I looked into the nuclear hexagram I found: '40.2.4.6 to 23'

In short: I think these nuclear hexagrams are referring to my emotional state in the matter. Addressing my doubts and fears that I have about the trip.

When I tried to next ask Yi a yes or no question;

"Will there be an abundant quality of Amanita Muscaria available for harvest near Taos, New Mexico where Bobby described, day after tomorrow?"

I got: '32.1 to 34'

Basically Yi was telling me she had already answered my question.

My interpretation is much influenced by a website called Eclectic Energies. I hope this post was not too long and both clear and complete. Any advice or opinion would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say whenever I get 15 Yi is advising truth, authenticity and simplicity. What feels true in yourself, with your integrity, not operating from a place of fear. Because if you go from this place then you will be ok with whatever the outcome is, mushrooms or not. That said I would say this is an overall positive reading encouraging you to go, perhaps you will unite with someone there and something else will come up even if there are no mushrooms? Or with help you will manage to get what you need. I don't think the Yi can predict whether there will be or not to be honest but it can tell you that things will work out ok.

Excellent reply. Thank you very much for your response and expertise.

I guess it is safe to say that I should not try to use the oracle as some kind of scout. I should not ask Yi to tell me if some object is there or not. I wonder if one could do that or not.

Hello , just curious, did you end up going on this adventure? I think it would be possible to ask the I Ching if indeed they were there …I suppose it just depends if she felt like answering!
