HI Everybody.

I am a complete newbie to the I-Ching but Im trying to learn as much as I can. I hate to request a reading before I have contrbuted to the community which I intend to do but here goes.

For a whole load of reasons I want to leave my job. I found this reading to be more cryptic than other readings I have done. I'm not very good at looking deep enough. My job is soul destroying and I need to get out. Im so confused right now. I can continue what I am doing but it's not good for my soul. I can survive for about 3 months comfortably If I quit but Im so full of uncertainty. I look forward to the responses. Some people on here have great insight. Im amazed.

Thank you

The reading is 38.2.4>27

What is it saying? :duh:

I did another reading. This time I asked If I do quit my job what major obstacles will I face and the reading I got is

56.2.3.4.6 > 7

Thats a lot of lines. To a newbie this seems to spell disaster or am I wrong??

Should I quit my job?
38.2.4 > 27

My understanding of employment practices is that it is much easier to find a job while you are already employed. Once you are unemployed, finding a job becomes much more difficult, so the practical advice is that you hunt for a new job now before quitting you current job. I look at 38 as seeking friends outside the family, leading to 27 nourishment, your new job. So the casting supports your wish to change jobs.

Nine in the second place means:
One meets his lord in a narrow street.
No blame.

Taking 'Lord' as a new employer, line 2 suggests you will succeed in finding a new job, as does line 4.

Nine in the fourth place means:
Isolated through opposition,
One meets a like-minded man
With whom one can associate in good faith.
Despite the danger, no blame.

There may be a real danger of long-term unemployment, and I hope you avoid it.
