I'd appreciate some help on these readings as I've falling way down into the pit again.

It concerns whether or not I return to an organisation that was very dear to me but where I had many problems and arguments with others. This was entirely my own fault and which caused the situation I'm in now.

There is an opportunity to go back but it will be up to me. So far, the I Ching has said to move on and take another path as I'm not strong enough to deal with all that would follow. I'm really torn in two about it as I want to grow and confront the issues but there is also part of me that feels like I must go on alone now. There has to be some resolution either way. I don't know whether I'm copping out or being sensible.

I have a few pages of advice from the IC and it has helped me think things through and make up my mind. There seems to be constant advice to let go. However, I received a mail from a member of this organisation giving me some home truths about my departure all of which is correct. This has thrown me into turmoil again. I just want to do the right thing for myself and everyone. I asked:

Should I respond to X's mail?

61.2 > 42

The advice so far seems to be that it is better that I separate myself from XXXX. Is that still correct? (I got this a few times via different but related questions yet I'm not sure if it means that separation or staying is bad).

36.1.3 > 2

Why must I break with XXXX?

36 unchanging

What about leaving for a while and returning?

12.1.2.4 > 61

If I stay at XXXX will it be true to my destiny?

44.2.5 > 56

If I leave?

7.1.4.5 > 61

(I asked "Why must I leave?" last week and got 14.3 > 38 and quite a few of 56)

Hm. Seems like I have to leave despite my reservations. But I don't want to. (sigh) My first thoughts were to always stay at this organisation. It was only via the IC that I discovered that maybe this wasn't the correct cause of action. It really requires that I fully trust the IC and myself - but I don't. I can't judging by my past actions. Yet I am confused in my own mind as I'm uncertain that I can make the needed changes in my life without their help. I posed this thought to the IC and asked for a comment:

19.3 > 11

My final question was: If I can't deal with the main deep-rooted problem I had while at the organisation and then to presume I can handle it on my own in daily life... what is the point? (of leaving)

59.6 > 11

I know that's a quite a few hexs but I could really use some help on this again, even if its a general overview - just to have another view on things. I really don't want to leave this organisation. But it seems like I must.

61.2 sounds to me like "respond in a way which is true to your own heart, and then you will get a true response back"

If I have ideas about your other questions I will post them, but one at a time

Leaving for a while and returning, 12 to 61. Good to stop for a while in order to find your own truth. You can anyway only be a member of something from out that truth, otherwise it will be no good for you or for them.

There is big value in it for you, but you will not be really one with it.

Why must I break with XXXX? 36
36 is darkness, but it is also the 'bath' the sun needs at night to be able to shine again the next day. According to the old myth, she passes through the waters underneath the earth to come out again bright and clean and renewed. Maybe that is the reason for the need to break?

If I leave? 7.1.4.5 > 61

Seems it is good for you to be standing your own legs. Either for some time or from now on, not sure about that. Make order, find your own heart, and then decide what to do.

Hi Lise - thanks for your input. I've been visiting your website for many months now and it has been a source of great inspiration.

As to the above, yes respond as honestly as I can and find what that truth is  The trouble is, finding our own truth is bound up with so many indistinct variables that we can kid ourselves so easily. We think we have found "our truth" when in fact its just another reason to cop out. How can we find our limit? Our reason for Being? But we must find it.

What do you mean by value? In a spiritual sense? Isn't not being "one with it" a contradiction of that value? I Ithink that it is the kind of situation that if I'm not one with it then I have to go - there can be no half measures here.

And standing on my own two feet. Hm. That seems correct in many ways. It is so hard to let go from something that has given so much to me. Yet have I given enough in return? Certainly not. There is the clue I guess.

"Should I respond to X's mail? 61.2 > 42"

Basically this answer is telling you to respond to the email and you may learn something of interest to you.

"The advice so far seems to be that it is better that I separate myself from XXXX. Is that still correct? (I got this a few times via different but related questions yet I'm not sure if it means that separation or staying is bad). 36.1.3 > 2"

Hex 36.1 to stay at XXXX would prove to be problematic for you, there would be further trouble and gossip, so better to withdraw and move on.

Hex 36.3 the problems at XXXX have been around for a long time and are difficult to sort out in the short term, the cause of the problem is easy enough to discover but removing it hastily may well cause even more problems.

Hex 2 so be receptive to the advice of others, do not go rushing headlong back into a bad situation, success is assured if you listen.

"Why must I break with XXXX? 36 unchanging"

Basically XXXX is a hostile environment for you, as you face criticism, opposition and difficulties. This hex is about the darkening of your light, it is about you having to keep a low profile in order to avoid hassles. Very troublesome place.

"If I stay at XXXX will it be true to my destiny? 44.2.5 > 56"

Your destiny at XXXX is to become a wanderer. What probably will happen is that you will become cut off and isolated at XXXX leading you to leave once again.

" "Why must I leave?" last week and got 14.3 > 38"

You are trying to hold onto to the job for dear life, so you face opposition at XXXX, therefore, you cannot do your job properly or work together with people, conflict of interests, now very difficult to overcome because it has been in existence for a while.

Thank you Willowfox, I appreciate your analysis - seems pretty conclusive.

So, the proverbial outcast. This is so hard. Seems to be the year of stripping away. Ok, then it appears to be a case of moving on even if it feels like having my teeth pulled.

Anyone want to have a go at the last couple of Hex's? 19 is always a bit elusive for me.

19 3 lise translation; finish grieving it, move on.

59 6 separate yourself from your kin and save your life. very critical to do so. don't agonize over these questions of conscience. free yourself from the vise of penance, and move away, with your life.

Thanks Hollis.

It can't get any clearer I guess. The 29 probably means tough times ahead.

no not necessarily

it means if you eradicate yourself, things will get better. i have seen it, with this line. get out with your life, your life is good and needs saving.

the 29 is repeated water, repeated flowing, following, and the top line of 59 can escape.

you are good, ic is on your side.

My final question was: If I can't deal with the main deep-rooted problem I had while at the organisation and then to presume I can handle it on my own in daily life... what is the point? (of leaving)

dispersion-expansion - dispersing that situation opens you to new possibilities. If your reactions to events at the former place surrounding the main problem had become habitual, you will find it easier to see new ways of approaching it in a different situation.

Hex 59.6 says that you should protect your interests and cut your ties with the org. to avoid further problems, so keep away.

Hex 29 you have grown used to having troubles and problems at the org., but they won't go away if you stay there, so better to move on, no point in staying in a trouble environment. So, now is the time to face the outside world and take action for what you do now should prove to be very successful in spite of the problems that may arise.

I guess 59.6 to 11 is a typo? It goes to 29. Or else 59 is wrong.

There are many places where you can find value, spiritual, or for your daily life, or emotional, or supportive, without feeling connected to the people. E.g. for me religion has great value, but in a church I am not at all comfortable. Very often there is a gap between an idea and the people who practise it. Or between an idea and the way it is worded.

Hex.19 is one of the pair 19-20, and they have both to do with 'seeing'. Hex.20 with contemplating as if it is outside yourself, evaluating, appreciating, understanding, loving. It is also a monastery, a place where people are outside of the world but by being free from it, also able to help it in ways which are not possible when part of it.
The opposite of 20 is 34, vigor. So 20 is without any personal vigor, no wish to bend things to your will.

In 19 you see without any distance. The other is totally accepted as who he or she is, there is no demand, no judgment, no opinion. It is a very high form of love, completely free from wanting to have, or needing.
A negative side can be that you get too much 'into' the other.
Opposite of 33, withdrawing.

Hi LiSe,

Yes, that was an error on my part. 59.6 to 29 is the one.

Thank you all for these interpretations. It has helped a lot though I still can't shake the idea that I'm throwing in the towel. But then, perhaps that is part of struggle, to go one's own way despite what people will think - even when all the evidence is against you. Or is that merely stupidity? Ah, here I go again...

Thank you all.
