Thank you
50.2 reads: "There is food in the ting. My comrades are envious, But they cannot harm me. Good fortune."

I'm not exactly sure how this applies to your situation and your question: 'what is the outcome of our conversation?' You started with:

And you ended with: ... 'he was having a mental breakdown. So I will give things a little more time to heal'.

So, it sounds like there's 'no harm' here. And that you're not letting either his 'cryptic bullshit' or his 'mental breakdown' change the situation at all. So, there is perhaps 'good fortune' in the form of stability, but also, nothing has changed.

Thank you very much for taking the time to offer your interpretation.

Well, he hinted at wanting to talk about everything I said ... But I avoided it because after observing how truly broken he is, catching him cry alone in his car...and receiving new shocking information about why his last relationship broke down... I realised that he truly is not ready yet. He's still suffering and I shouldn't push him more. I've decided to be there for him but take a step back for the moment

This gives new insight to the 50.2 phrase, “My companion is afflicted.” I thought it meant the companion isn’t able to appreciate the speaker because of some misunderstanding with the speaker but with this update I’m seeing that 50.2 can be saying the companion is in an afflicted state with himself and therefore not able to relate to the speaker, especially if the speaker is in a particularly good state - they just aren’t on the same vibration.
