There is one person in my life, who makes me feel miserable I don't know intentionally or not, somehow
after being around this person or talking to her - I get the message that I am a wreck and my life is a mess.

So I am tired of this. I asked Yi - What can help me having faith in myself no matter how this person interacts with me
And received 2 unchanging.

Please help.
Accept the situation completely? Don't initiate any conversations with her?
And I am not sure what friends in SouthWest means...Should I look for some support?

Thank you!!

I've often gotten 2 UC when I've ask multiple questions like, "should I be concerned or worried about xyz?" or "should I care about xyz?"

I took it to mean, no, don't worry about it. Be like the open field, allowing the wind to just pass through. The faith of 2, the Receptive, is complete devotion. The mare has faith in the unseen and follows the signs and subtle changes in the wind for her direction. Be unmoved because nothing "sticks." You allow all to just pass through, not to define you, but to help guide your direction. I'd follow the signs away from this friend and seek allies in the "southwest" like others have said.

You know what is interesting, you mentioned faith, it really applies. I've been developing this calm feeling of faith . It is almost saying "Follow the will of Heaven"..completely..its a beautiful reading.
Great one, thisismybody

Hey innertruth,

It's funny. I've received 2 UC probably more times than any other hex. In fact, when I moved for a relationship I really doubted being a good decision, Yi answered me 2 UC. And then again and again. I think it's like a reminder that we're that mare, and all we simply need to have is faith. It was the right decision for me to move, because I was following the signs and subtle winds like the mare. Even though that relationship didn't work out, it lead me to my career!

Another idea, and I'm not sure if anyone else has discovered this because I haven't checked many sources on the Yi, is that hexagram 8, Seeking Union, is in the southwest. Hexagram 36 is to the northeast. I basically just plotted the hexagrams out on a diagram associated with direction and element. Real simple stuff, but took some time. The pathway from 2 to 8 is line 5. The fan yao is 8.5, the ruling line.

It's hard to explain here without a diagram, but 24 overlaps or triangulates 2 and 8. The two directions create the pathway of 2.5 going southwest, from 2 to 8, and 3.5 going northeast, from 8 to 2. In 2, Yi admonishes do not travel northeast. From 2, 36 is northeast. Again the triangulation is 24. The pathway here from 2 to 36 is 24.3, which says not to reverse yourself. The pathway from 36 to 2 is 15.3. I think it's Bradford? who calls it the transitional hex. I just think it's interesting to see these plotted on a diagram and worked out in triangles. So far, all of them plug in.

So, from Yi's stance, the advice is to head toward 8 and seek union with those you belong to.

I believe it does too. The directions and elements laid out as if looking at a compass suggest the same. When I finish an edited version, I will post it. :bows:

Thats brilliant thisismybody, hexagram 2 i have always has bit of trouble , as soon i see it I think of the moon shining especially unchanging, and it kind of stumps me, you broke it down a little for me, Do you think there is a kind of mystery in 2 unchanging or is that just me?

She is the essence of mystery, Steve. The muse of poetry. The delight of mankind. The internal compass that guides sailors home. That nudge. That inkling towards a certain direction or person.

Look at hexagram 8 - k'an (water) over K'un (earth). The lower trigram is the house of the earth and man partially, as man has one foot on the earth and one in heaven. K'un is actually at home in the lower trigram, as k'an is a dimension of K'un. She's, in a way, in her niche. But only because she's not being "subdued" by a greater power. She often just "holds space."

K'un is at home holding a space for k'an. This is a proper position. K'un over Ch'ien is proper because they must come together and their energies unite with K'un on top.:footinmouth: Anyway, what I mean is, 8 draws those who belong to her in a mystical, magical way. That element that attracts is the spaciousness, the openess, the devotion, the loving nature of K'un. We're irrestibly attracted to follow her paths. Her influence is subtle. It is like the faith we ascribe to her nature. Airy, intuitive. We even feel it deep in our bones and gut. That's because our primal instincts come from her, from the dirt, the clay. We're inextricably linked and at one with K'un, even with one foot in heaven. (We're one with Ch'ien also! I really think K'un is just a manifestation of Ch'ien experiencing Ch'ien-self in another dimension.) I won't go into k'an here, because I've gone on enough.

She is the moon shining. It's the marriage of the Sun and the moon that gave birth to life, alchemically!

I will end it with this. There is something magical and assuring about the Receptive. As subtle as she is, she's everywhere and just about always touching our feet. How could she not guide us?

Thats absolutely awesome, i really enjoyed it and thank you some much for a better understanding of this hexagram, at least i was on the right track i guess now i need to look past the moon, i get it more its that intuitive side, i used to amaze myself when i was younger and walk home from the craziest places and some how get home without even knowing the way, i called it my inner compass, i actually even wrote and published a song called Find Your Way, and it was about people being lost on all types of levels but the chorus was assuring that you will find your way home. I really like hexagram 8 , you cant have a better reading when its positive and 8 is involved. It might be time to expand my way of thinking, its like when i studied chess, i became a slightly above average player as you get a world score but i kind of stopped there and when i played people who were really good i would lose, and the only way was to take my study to the next level. I probably need to do that with yi and take my studies u a knotch, The Yi itself reminds me of this hexagram, always trying to correct us on a better path much like a spiritual compass.

Love it. I agree. Kick it up a notch. It is a spiritual compass, one we can seek in conversation with our own. It's a mirror. How clean is yours, Steve?;)

Thank you for reading it. It's close to my heart.

Oh wow...thisismybody, your poem is sooo intuitive light and thin, like i feel it but cant catch it. Its subtle, full of nuance. Its great...shivers...Steve, and the compass thing too...It reminded me of physics and astriphysics,gravitation...like if a celestial body or Heavens as 1 move and change patterns, and
We, humans on Earth, small particles just resonate and there is no escape from this aligned beauty of movement...
We are mares....we should follow sky call...
We cannot not follow...its magnetic, its complete 'submissiveness'...

I loved that passage on finding allies, could it be
Finding something that resonates deeper with you right?? Allies have similar vision and understand you well right?

Innertruth, this is exactly what I've been meaning to describe as K'un. Thank you so much. I feel like a poem is the closest thing to capturing it. Loverofknowledge has a thread out on 2.2.5>29 about intuition. I feel like it applies perfectly in with talk about hexagram 8 and the attracting principle of 2. The field of possibility being grounded down to earth. We, as receivers, just as K'un is a receiver of Ch'ien's muse. There's been a lot of threads on hexagram 2. In open space, I wrote about characteristics of K'un and Ch'ien. I added it to the above thread.

We, humans on Earth, small particles just resonate and there is no escape from this aligned beauty of movement...

My belief...all a resounding, "yes!" We get into semantics of "vision" but the thread we follow must be the same for at least a time, in not a lifetime or many. Back to soul mates and soul energy that revolves around each other like the moon around the earth and the earth around the sun. Read the this thread if you can: http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?22347-The-two-last-hexagrams

Soul path? Yes. Maybe a different call. Maybe same for a while. Maybe for a purpose only. Now, I'm reminded of my thread on 53.1.6>63 and another one on the same about how to find a soul mate with the same answer. "Love is the thread that leads us through the labyrinth of life!" Or K'un is!!!!!
