Waiting....Waiting....Waiting....and a 26.2.4.6>55

I always cringe when trying to interpret a (hopeful) romantic relationship casting. As some of you may remember, Terry, a fellow who has had a similar painful romantic past as I have had is the one that has my attention.

Everything came on quickly for us and it was amazing, but scared the beejeebees out of both of us, especially him. As both of us were in serious committed relationships previously (me, a 7.5 year live-in situation, and Terry, a 5.5 year marriage) that both ended in our other halves cheating on us, to find this kind of connection and intensity right away was a bit much to take in and to trust. So, we decided to take things very slowly. I mean, excruciatingly, slower than a snail's pace slowly. Needless to say, this pace is too slow for my liking. I'd still like to take it slowly, but I'm looking for more interaction, more time together so I can assess the situation and know if he is one I want to be with. The time apart and intermittent contact drives me nutty.

I decided to ask the IC today "What can I do to advance this romantic relationship between us more quickly?" and got 26.2.4.6>55. 55 honestly scares me, as a lot of you interpret it as a "flash in the pan" kind of relationship. I do not believe this is what we have here...or at least I hope not.

I interpret this casting as the IC telling me to chill out and to play a little hard to get with Terry. Make him guess how I feel about him a little, so I'm not coming on so strongly and all will work out successfully in the end. What's your take on it? No, its not about playing hard to get, its about forcing yourself to be patient at least for a while longer, until he sorts himself out, then it should be all systems go after that.

Hex 55 is about getting it on, having fun, enjoying yourselves, so to make the relationship fly, then you will need to add a dose of passion and a whole heap of enthusiasm.

Take no notice of "the flash in the pan" interp, as your question was about how to advance the relationship, using what method, and Hex 55 says have fun in the sun, enjoy every waking moment, add plenty of bubbles.

Thanks, Willowfox. I appreciate that interpretation and prefer yours so much more to mine! I am not one to be a game-player, and Terry seems to appreciate the way that I am naturally. I am a very strong and straightforward kind of gal, one that seems to intimidate most men (or attract the weak dysfunctional ones). I didn't think he was one who wanted a gal who toyed with his emotions, but ya never know. I still will wait for his advance this time around and let him be the one to show me he's interested, as I believe that 55's time frame starts next month. Is that how one would read the timing for this?

I had to giggle at your "need to add a dose of passion and a whole heap of enthusiasm" comment. I don't think that'll be an issue. The last time we took a while to see one another, it was a two month time frame and when we did, it was as if no time had passed. Once he arrived at my place for dinner, all it took was eye contact and the passion kicked in.

That evening in particular was an interesting one. Terry said some things that night that lead me to believe he has a more serious agenda for this relationship, which as a result I believe scares him even more. We both have to reconcile our previous hurts from relationships and learn to trust again, and I know that I'm much stronger in many ways now. I guess I have been "fixing the straps on my cart" during this time of waiting, huh? Regardless, my physical health is better and so am I emotionally. I'll be ready to have fun in the summer sun with Terry when the time is right! Thanks again, Willowfox. I really appreciate it!
