What Do I Need to Know about My Next Partner? 55.1.4>15

Interestingly both lines point to "meeting the lord" who's also a partner in the first & hidden in the forth line.

My relationship with this partner-to-be won't last long, but is honorable and no mistake (55.1), and will bring good fortune (55.4). 15 sounds like natural path/communication.
Curious about the connotations of the world "lord" I visited this thread. I'm not interested in having a relationship with a "superior"- though I don't know what it exactly means. I'd received 55.1 before and the person is question wasn't my superior, nor I regarded him as such. He was of course a very good companion at the time.

And he's "hidden". Does it men that I won't see him in person?

I also took a look at Bradford's translation, which is partly different from Hilary's: he writes "to exceed the long week (means) disaster" for the first line, and "the position isn't appropriate", "At midday one may see the bushel constellation Or find their hidden leader".

According to this, the relationship shouldn't last more than a certain duration and I may or may not see the "leader".

I'd like to read your thoughts on what this reading can say about a "next partner", specially regarding the words "lord" and "hidden", as well as the time limitation.

I'd say it was someone you'd never normally think of as partner material. Also someone who teaches you and who you teach. A person who is able to uncover aspects of yourself you've not really been aware of.

It could even be a person who precedes your next partner, someone who 'prepares' you by revealing to you aspects of your psyche you need to be in touch with to go fully into relationship.

Well if you don't see him in person he won't be a partner will he, one can only take online stuff so far


I take 'lord' as partner if partner applies or any person really of equal or higher status. I also think there need not be a person in line 4 at all it can be circumstances changing in such a way you can't see how you got there.


Anyway if I take it as a direct answer it's someone you'd never think of as being a partner. He may be quite outside your realm of expectations/expereince with partners.


Don't take any of the above too seriously. I don't know what you need to know about your next partner. He doesn't exist yet after all which is why you can't see him in line 4 perhaps

He's a dark lord in line 4, it's not all about to be revealed to you right now and maybe not even then.

Meeting your match!
I'm seeing a nice parallel between the outer lord described in line one and the inner lord described in line four. This suggests to me a meeting with someone in the outer world who matches your inner vision. And further more it looks like he's going to be a 15. a reasonably sane normal kinda guy!

It almost feels like someone who provides a bit of an escape or a sanctuary from normal life. That you take time out of being in the normal world to be together, maybe your relationship is private or just of a very intimate and deep nature. Line 1 speaks to the meaningful connection as well as a kind is “time out” to spend time together and Line 4 seems to touch on some of that too, a deep connection with someone/something important that occurs in a place or manner that’s shrouded away. Maybe it’s like you go off on retreat/vacation together or something? Or have these times when you’re cloistered away from the world being together. I also would wonder if they’re older than you or someone in authority since both lines have that as a focus as well.

I might also wonder if they’re secretive or hard to get to know yet the relating hexagram seems to help there. Maybe they are just simply a deep/wise and mysterious type of person.

This makes a lot of sense to me because I've met quite a few men who I've learnt this from.

Not that I'm saying the other posts aren't right, but that just makes sense to me.
