I had a quarrel with a person a couple of years ago and I haven't heard from her since. Now she's been doing things to come back in my life. So I asked
What does this person want from me? 9.1.3.4>6

I know we're not supposed to ask these things as you never know if Yi is answering about you or the other person. Yet I couldn't help it.

Line 1
‘Returning to your own path,
How could you be wrong?
Good fortune.’

Is she returning on her own steps or I should return on my own steps. But what steps? Go back there with her or keep where I am now, far away?

Line 3
‘A cart losing its wheel spokes.
Husband and wife avert their eyes.’

Line 4
‘There is truth and confidence.
Blood departs, fear goes away.
No mistake.’

There is connection. So maybe in the end everything will turn out fine?

Anyway 6 is the conflict, and it's still there!

Thinking about line 9.4 which speaks about connection, I asked:
How to connect with this person? 53
It will take a long time :)

The interpretation will depend on:
a) who of the two of you started the argument back then
b) who of the two of you stopped talking to the other

Ok, hexagram 9 is about something that is not yet visible, it can be about makeup, about lies, and also about something that you can't see.

But you got changing lines. So,

Line 1: that you don't get involved
Line 3: moving into different directions
Line 4: someone will come to ask for your help

Outcome 6: this person wants you to act as a mediator

Maybe she thinks that you could endanger a relationship of hers and acts friendly to prevent a breakup.

9 - Appearance

Something is not yet visible.

1 - One does not get involved.

3 - No one is going in the same direction.

4 - One needs help, and is sincere. Someone will come.
In the making
6 - Claim

One is prevented from continuing, despite thinking that they say the truth. Do not use force to conclude. Entrust a mediator.

How to connect with this person? 53
53 - To associate

One offers their fellows to overcome constraints by associating.

overcome the constraints

Ask the Yi what the constraints are, that will be your follow-up question, unless you know already.

I started it.
She ¡s the one who stopped talking to me.

I thought 6 was conflict?!

ok! What are the constraints with this person? 8.3.5.6>52

Line 1
'Seeking union with non-people'.

line 5
‘'A clear sign of seeking union.
The king uses three beaters,
Lets the game in front go.
The city people are not coerced.
Good fortune.

Line 6
Seeking union without a head.

Choices without purpose, a group without a goal, union without essence.Pitfall.
:brickwall:

I much rather preferred hex 53 to be honest;)

Yes it is.

One is prevented from continuing, despite thinking that they say the truth. Do not use force to conclude. Entrust a mediator.

Maybe my interpretation was incorrect, and someone (9.4) has acted as a mediator and told her to come back your way.

What are the constraints with this person? 8.3.5.6>52

8: You share a common vision.

the other is unpleasant (line 3), doesn't want to see the former (line 5) and has failed to trust the former at the beginning (line 6)

52: stopping the relationship

8 - Sharing

Sharing a common vision. Hesitations can lead to regrets.

3 - One has established relations with unpleasant people.

5 - Showing what is sharing: only take volunteers, let the others go.

6 - If the beginning has been missed, what will be done in the end?
In the making
52 - Stop

One recognizes that it is time to stop because they need to be fed.

So, that are the constraints that both of you need to overcome, in order to become friends again.

Ok here's my version!

What does this person want from me? 9.1.3.4>6
9.1 - Someone does their own thing.
9.3 - Serious argument.
9.4 - Someone wants to stop feeling bad.
6 - More arguments.
She wants revenge because she feels you were wrong to accuse her back then.
So she fancies another round of reconciliation/arguments.
(OR she has just broken up and wants company)

How to connect with this person? 53
You can connect with her if you start to hang out with her very regularly.

What are the constraints with this person? 8.3.5.6>52
This person is nasty, and no matter how much you leave the door open,
your relationship was on the wrong footing from the beginning.
52 = and this will not change, she's obstinate.

The whole thing sounds like she did something nasty, when you confronted her
she admitted nothing, and on top of this she had the nerve to be the one to
stop talking to you? If this is the case and I'm not far off, then that would
perfectly describe what an 8.3 person she is.

Thanks to both of you :)

9.1 - Someone does their own thing.
I guess it's me
9.3 - Serious argument.
Indeed
9.4 - Someone wants to stop feeling bad.
her perhaps?

6 - More arguments.
oh lord!

She wants revenge because she feels you were wrong to accuse her back then.
So she fancies another round of reconciliation/arguments.
might be

exactly! I pinched her in her pride

Anyway I should disentangle from this person, that's what Yi has always said. And I want to!
So I've just asked: Tell me how to disentangle! 48.5>46

the water is clear, drink it!
the reading 48.5 would indicate there are no setbacks, there is nothing stopping the water from the well reaching you. Trojina
So it may indicate that the disentangling process is on its way and I can't stop it, it will come to fruition

Tell me how to disentangle! 48.5>46

48: you need a plan (the follow-up question "what is the plan?" does not seem necessary here, you get the plan with the rest of the cast, ask away if you want, the Yi will tell you if that is not necessary to answer)

Line 5: you need mutual friends who are ready to help you reconcile

->optional follow-up question: who/what are those assistants?

It's optional because you may have friends in mind already but it might be worth asking.

46: it's about knowledge, getting to know each other I guess

48 - Organization

One distributes their action according to a plan.

5 - One asks the assistants who are ready to come back to respond to the needs.
In the making
46 - Taking form

One is guided until they reach knowledge.

I'm getting a clear picture looking at your first post, which is rare for me and IC, doesn't mean its right, however:

I think its telling a story,

line 1 returning to your path how can you be wrong this is about whatever started the fight(we all want to argue our opinion even when we know were right and it shldnt matter what the other thinks) or its about going separate ways..

line 3 broken wheel and husband and wife avert their eyes is of course about your separation

line 4 truth and confidence. blood departs, fear goes away. this means just what it sounds like, things are ripe for reconciliation

yes it's true, it might well be a story :)

6. The gong speaks :bows:

The gong?!

oh, I just had an enlightment!

About line 1:
‘Returning to your own path,
How could you be wrong?
Good fortune.’

This returning is me when I turned to myself, acknowledging what had happened, and stood up for myself.
How could I be wrong? I certainly wasn't.
After that, the conflict (line 3).

Now waiting for line 4 :)

Three months have gone by.

A few days ago I asked how likely it is that I fix it with this person.
50.5.6>28

It doesn't sound bad, does it?

To me it looks like now I am stronger than before (50.5) so I'm able to face any kick she might give me (the cauldron won't be put upside down this time). Containing the excess, any excessive thing she might do or say.

Or it could just be saying that things can be fixed only when I am able to contain her excess.

50.6 careful to whom you mingle with? The right container needs the right content?
