What is left to be done? 36.1.2.3 to 7.

I had an unpleasant story with someone that has been dragging on, on an unseen level. It's as though there has been no way out, as though I'm stuck. I asked what is left to be done in this relationship and I received 36.1.2.3 to 7. I find this pretty disconcerting as 36 has always been, for me, one of the worse hexagrams to receive. I perceive it to be about being wounded and at an extreme disadvantage. Id appreciate an additional opinion on the reading. Thanks

I got this exact same reading last week.

I tend to agree you may have seen better days

Hexagram 36.1 is related sometimes to anxiety or confused thinking, the advice would be stop relax and try and clear your head, if the person you are talking about is causing this then stay away from them.

Line 2 is about as you say being at a disadvantage, however if you take the advice of the first line you can use your instincts to make some progress.

Line 3 I think if you keep to the advice you will get to the real root of the problem this relates to the text about capturing the head of the chief. It could mean you may win a small fight, but these appear to be long standing issues. So dont expect everything to be fixed overnight,, its going to take work and using your wits or intuition.

Hexagram 7 I think means you need to get organised. If you can do all this you will be in a better position.

I think in general you need to understand the real problem and work on removing it

PS as I said I had this reading last week about my business. I had to just remove issues basically I had a lot of work piled up and it wasnt going away by itself. I have worked through it, its not impossible.

in relation to receiving a negative type hexagram or one you feel is negative , keep in mind the the oracle is only reflecting your current position and giving advice on improving it, so in a way you can be relieved that you have got advice on what you need to do.

Dark Days of 36

Hey! So incredibly uplifting to get a response. Especially such a thoughtful response. So thanks. I think I understand about 36. I used never to get it but lately I’ve been getting it quite a lot. In fact, I feel I’ve just been swimming in 36ness. I think it’s because I’ve been hiding out because of my bad neighbors. But also because I’ve been grieving over a death. So naturally, it’s showing up as a relating Hex.

I should add that I only recently discovered what the 2nd hexagram was about. All those years of thinking that Hex A lead to Hex B. Now I see it as a sort of setting, background or a state of mind.

Thanks for your comments on 7. I used to get it quite a bit when I was juggling work school and numerous other responsibilities. I used to think 7 meant you were fighting for survival, taking on challenges, being dynamic. I have slipped into a certain disorder ever since moving into my current smaller space. I became hopeless about ever regaining the high level of efficiency and organization I used to have when I used to get 7 a lot. These last three weeks I’ve been getting 7 again very frequently, just when I’m beginning to challenge myself a little.

Even more scary than 36 is 62: I’ve been getting 62 with the dread line referring to being struck. (!) Or sometimes that awful 6th line in 42. Worried about violence which has become a very threat for me. My plan is to raise my vibrations (through a mantra), overcome fear, to increase light in my being. Thanks again.

I understand bad neighbours are the worst, actually its worse when the person is under the same roof as you.
Try an lie low clear your head, and organise yourself as best you can, that seems to be the general advice.
Yes when we get these responses from the Yi, its not so much a prediction as a reflection at times. I find the relating hexagram can be either the result of the current path you are on or yes like a background to a situation, it depends on what you are asking.

Thanks for the insight. This situation is NOT about my neighbor but a former love relationship gone dry. I do have a bad neighbor situation though which is entirely separate. I did ask about that bad neighbor situation in another thread. Here I accidentally mixed the two threads up. But the Hexagram 36 casting is referring to a real relationship that is dying and the other thread is dealing with a bad neighbor situation. They’re not linked.
