Am I making a huge mistake?

I've been thinking about moving to another city on and off for over a year. Back in September, finally feeling ready to move, I asked Yi about the idea. The answer was 6.2.6 to 37. I took this to indicate that family was involved (and I do have family in the city where I'm considering moving) but the time wasn't quite right. And sure enough, then I was offered a job here and so didn't move. It was a temporary contract with the possibility of being extended, and it wasn't extended. So here I am again, mostly unemployed. (I do have a part-time position that I've held now for 2 years.)

With no other job prospects, and going further into debt every day, I've decided to move to the other city which is much bigger, with a better economy, and with family who I love and can stay with for awhile as I look for a job and get back on my feet. I asked Yi about all this:

What About Moving to the New City? 29.2.4.6 to 12

This didn't sound so good at first, but then I wasn't sure if my question was clear enough. Would moving cause me to be placed in a stagnant position of recurring danger? Or, was it my continuous indecision which was the real stagnant danger? I decided it was the latter.

So, after further self-reflection, talking with trusted friends, etc. what had seemed for months as a 50/50 decision, now seemed more beneficial to move. Although I love my current home for it's beauty (and I am very fed by the earth) the freedom and capacity for creativity that I believe will be created inside me by reducing my expenses, and being with family, feels right. I'm ready go for it, knowing that nothing is permanent.

Well ..... AFTER making my decision, which I do feel comfortable with, I decided to consult Yi:

What do you have to say about my decision to move? 54 Unchanging

Then today, two days after the last question, I asked: What can I expect to happen in the new city? 34.2.4 to 36

Now I'm a little scared. This is one of those big decisions where I don't want to ignore Yi's advice purposefully. But I also need to listen to myself. I already resigned from my part-time job today, giving a month's notice. I feel ready to move, because I want family, I want a better economy, I want more freedom. But what is the Yi telling me? I'm worried.

34 to 36 looks okay to me, Malka. The fence opens and you can go. A minor problem is perhaps that the ram might be too brusque, break things (teacups?), exceed the speed limit when driving to that other city, and so on. So the advice would be: don't rush, take it easy, you will be there when you get there.

Is it 36 in the background that scares you? I think it reflects the question or the current situation, not the future.

Martin,

Yes, the 36 does worry me, and my first reaction to the reading was -- is this a "powerful darkening of the light?" So it was also the combination of 36 with 34 that was a concern.

But the 54 leaves me with mixed feelings also.

Overall, I don't see it as a great "go forward" mix of readings. But I do see what you mean about the lines, and perhaps your thought that 36 is more about now is true. I need to step back and breath and sit with all this, and I also hope to hear from others and get other opinions.

Maybe the fence opening up does foretell the freedom I'm hoping to find?

HI Malka,
I would say that 34.2.4 is a great reading for having the power and opportunity to move forward.

I could see why you would be concerned about the first reading , 29 >12,

but it sure does sound like this move is right for you, based on what you have said.
The 54....wasnt that a theme for you not long ago on this site in a different thread? the whole idea of a maiden at disadvantage, ready to grow up.
It isnt the most heartening response to your question and yet, if you read Karcher and ritsema, it seems like an appropriate reading for a single woman about to embark on a journey.
I have read your posts before, and you are lovely, thoughtful, spiritual and teachable young woman....I think you have everything you need to go forward and find your rightful place.
I send you love and blessings.

Jeannie,

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, I did have a reading a couple months ago that resulted in 54, and I certainly learned much about 54 from that discussion. And in fact I would be a maiden at disadvantage, living with family (not in my own home) when I make this move. I suppose there's really no way to get around that.

I thank you for the love and blessings during this difficult passage.

Namaste,
Malka
