What should I do about the copper tin I found? 14 unchanging.

There was obviously a purging of one or more households, with the open trash bin in the alley. As I walked by, I grabbed some interesting items on top of the pile, such as: old books (one was super old, but in bad condition), unopened cleaning supplies (cool!), fishing line, old postcards (I was curious who the items belonged to, as I felt someone had probably passed away) and a copper plated little box that had Polish writing and an imprint of a Polish govt. building.
I felt a lot of energy touching the copper box. I had kind of a repulsed but energizing feeling, felt really creeped out. This object was/is definitely emanating energy. My bedroom door was softly banging open & shut.
I asked "what should I do about the box I found?"
14 unchanging.
I interpret this, as, the previous owners had used this copper box in a money-generating-magical-way. As in, one or more of the elderly pair had placed energy spells on the copper box. I was severely creeped out, and I removed it from my home. My bedroom door has returned to it's usual state of not softly banging open & shut.
Am I stupid to throw it away? I don't want it.
Edit to add: Of course most of us would like $$$ but not at any price. I just got a weird repulsed feeling by touching the copper box.

Sounds like you could tap into its force but don't do so unguided. agree with @becalm, it is possessed.
Thinking must have been a reason you had picked it up in the 1st place but best get help from an energy practitioner to figure things out.

One name for Hex. 14 is "possessing greatness". If it were me, I'd take it as a good sign, and I'd open up the box to see what's inside. (And you can do that outside, if the box creeps you out). Depending on what you find, you can keep the box, or ... perhaps its possesses too much 'greatness' for you to possess and you should get rid of it.

Er that seems pretty imaginative to me. I mean you don't know who owned it so why would you come up with the idea of an elderly couple putting spells on it from this answer? It would make a good story, maybe that's also part of the 14, you have a story to write there.

14 shows it's yours entirely, do as you will with it except do no harm 14 does stipulate that.

PS - I'm not much on the idea that your box is possessed, or was used as you describe, etc. But stretching my imagination a bit ... if there is a spirit or whatever inside, is it possible it (or he or she) just needs to be let out - to stretch it's legs, get a breathe of fresh air, etc. - and this will then make room for you to 'possess' the box, instead of whom-ever are the current occupants?

@Owlietta - with all due respect to the opinions expressed above - recommend caution.
Something must have driven you to pick this up and question what to do with it. You should be able to feel if it's malevolent anyways, possessed as in "energy-charged" for sure, can you use this energy to your benefit? Another question.
I have had some similar experiences too, one involving finding a beautiful snake ring (Thomas Sabo, it turned out) in the street. Interesting, found it with the guy I was seeing at the time and lost it while out with him too maybe a year or so later.
Was a sign to me to get rid of that guy and took a few months (he resisted) but if I hadn't done that- wouldn't have met my Twin Flame.
Some food for thought the Yi gives us...sometimes the answer is deeper than the initial question.

Have you considered taking it an energy (reiki) worker for a second take on the energy?

A shaman could also be trusted with it; I hired a Four Winds shaman for help with a similar matter. She did a very good job. Reputable shamans are held to a "highest universal good" standard. They heal things that are hurt and understand things that have histories.

ETA: Having read 14's oracle and image, I'm thinking that you're being called to notice your gifts, and also how you decided to pick up that object. You have entered a story. What role you play in it is up to you.
