What should I do? and Yi's answer, 45.4 to 8.

Hello everyone, I have been struggling for years and about a year ago, my last business venture came to final stop. Since then, I have been working as a busness broker. After 7+ years of near being broke, I was begenning to have hope with this new line of work because I managed to get two huge businesss signed up as mandates. However, my deals fell though. This keeps happenig. I am wondering if this is the right field for me or am I just being impatient. (Still have many interested parties for my listings but they keep falling through / disappearing on me) I really can't afford to keep going with no income (success based compensation only)

I find this line to be a bit mysterious actually. It says it's an auspicious line (literally, "The fourth line, dynamic, shows its subject in such a state that, if he is greatly fortunate, he will receive no blame") Cleary includes the conditional nature of the line as well though, the sense of "if". If you're lucky, then no blame. But, for what it's worth, there's also this: "Confucius/Legge: His position is not the proper one to him." I wondered what the conditional part was about... it sounds like one of those things that might work but it's very dependent on others.

I think the line might simply mean that you try to do something that involves other people's cooperation and that if it goes well it's very auspicious. It might be simply reflecting back to you that you need to try and then see what the results are. Which you already have to some degree at this point.

A few commentaries seem to focus on doing something for a higher purpose, rather than just for yourself, which is a tricky thing when it comes to money because you have to make a living. Are there ways you could team up with others and split the profit? Like have a partner and maybe you'd make less money at first but it would help somehow to build up? 45 > 8 is so much about connection and obviously your business is all about that (relationships) and seeing it through until it's profitable. Seems like maybe things you already know. Perhaps you could inquire about what's missing to have these situations be successful?
