What should I do?

Hello everyone and thanks for reading. I am in a difficult situation and I asked the IC What should I do to finish with this situation? I got hex 62 (2) changing to 32. Can you give me any ideas? I read about 62 line 2 and my interpretation is stay still but I don't know what 32 means, can you share your thoughts with me? Thanks a lot.

Hi Florecilla. I will try to help....

Hexagram 62 - this hexagram talks of someone or something having strength within and it being of an exceptional condition. Not just your average situation/circumstance. Inside is the mountain, still and at rest, while outside is thunder, arousing and in movement. The place where the person interacts with the world around them is not stagnant, but in motion and in full force, while the inside of them is still and strong. An inner strength.

This hexagram talks about NOT trying to achieve great things. Instead sticking to smaller deeds. Not stretching for something too high or having too great of expectations. It is reinforced here that the person is not strong on the outside and should not expect to act that way either. This is due to the persons deficiencies and damages, whatever they may be.

This hexagram also shows the image of a bird. This bird should not fly too high, for fear that the sun will burn it, and so it should descend to earth instead where it will be save.

Since the image of this hexagram is that of thunder on the mountain, there is a feeling that the thunder is very very close being that if you are on a mountain, you are closer to the sky. It talks about making sure one fixes their attention duty. And to never forget that he is on the side of "the lowly".


Line 2 - This line talks about an ancestress. (a wife of an ancestor) and meeting the lady instead of the man (or prince) because of their same "lowly" status.


Hexagram 32 - This hexagram is about duration and is about being gentle within yourself, and being active to the world. This hexagram to relationships is a symbol of marriage or a union of two people. It talks of someone being the "initiator" to the relationships start or progression and the other person being submissive.

This hexagram talks about how, in the ways of movement, duration has nothing to stand in its way. No hinderances stops duration's slow burn and one-pointedness. It also talks about a time of standstill is actually a time of regression because it is not contributing to the purpose of the movement. Duration is constantly happening, even in endings. When something ends, something else begins. Constantly. Things of larger proportion are a great example of this, like the planets, or the sun. They have changes and seasons that they endure and transformations that they go through, that cause different effects. And just like those orbs, a person can embody those characteristics.

The images of this hexagram is that of thunder and wind. Two things that are paired together in nature a lot. Both of these elements represent movements. Thunder rolling and wind blowing. Both are extreme movements which are actually the opposite of a good example of duration because duration is more of a slow constant burn. But if you look at the bigger picture and the changes and season we have, there actually is a slow constant burn of thunder and wind that reoccures every season. And in that way it is constant. This can be looked at microcosmically and it says that a person can also have inconsistencies. They can have rigidity and immobiliy of character, and still be a great person. This person just needs to keep up with the world around and change with it; Never stopping for what seems a hinderance. But to keep going based on what is inside a persons core. Not swerving. Keeping straight to the point of being.


Good luck! Sounds to me you are put here on this earth to be strong and keep with what you feel deep within your heart. But not for something of a "Big" nature. Just small constant steps that push towards the greatness which is you.

Thanks for your answer, AQ, but I am still confused, especially with hex 32. Does it mean the situation will continue over and over?? like seasons??? I am sorry, maybe I didn't get the idea.
I asked How can I finish it? and I got hex 38.
Then I asked, When will it finish? and I got 52 (5) changing to 53. And again, 53 confuses me. Any help, please??

I think maybe this is an ongoing situation where you have little influence. It seems you need to try and not focus on causes but instead look at what is within your means to solve the situation. I think the emphasis is on what is realistically attainable rather than what you would perhaps wish to do in an ideal world. 62 is about keeping a low profile and contentrating on modest detail - living within your means and not just economically speaking. But it is not about doing nothing just being realistic as to what is really achievable.

53 by the way is about the gradual progression of things........

You didn't tell us anything about the situation, and that makes it a little difficult. That being said, line two has a few related ideas, the first and simplest is the principle of going through the chain of command, not jumping over someone's head to talk to someone higher on the chain. Another principle here, is the concept of talking to the person you feel the closest to, not someone more distant to you, or higher on a given hierarchy.

I wouldn't worry about 32. The situation only goes on and on if the proper advice is not heeded. But 32 regards relationships that endure among other things, and if you pick the right person to talk to, the one you feel the most related to, the relationship endures. Since I don't know the situation, I don't know if any of this speaks to you, so to speak, but hopefully it does.

Guess I was just trying to tell you all I know about the hexagrams without knowing what your particular situation is. I was hoping also that you could find some symbolizm, a clue or sign, or some sort of parallel in what I described. (I was hoping this expecially with hexagram 32)

I understand not wanting to tell what the situation is about, but sometime it makes it difficult for other people to help. If I got hex 32, I would pick out the symbolizm and feel for a sign that talks to me.

Thanks a lot for your answers, I know it is difficult to be precise when I haven't explained the situation, well, it is difficult to explain and a little bit embarrassing. It has to do with a boyfriend I want to break up with but I can't because my mind tells me it is wrong what I am doing (he is not single) and I have to stop it, but my body (not my heart) tells me to continue (and I feel really bad for that), that is why it is a difficult situation for me. (You are right, Lucia, when you say I have little influence on this situation, and I don't like that because I like to control my life, even my feelings, which is not very good either, but... you know). Everything is in my mind, there is an internal conflict.
That is why hex 32 and 63 confuse me a lot.
I have been reading a lot about these and the other hexagrams I got, lines, images, different interpretations by well-known people and all that in different sites, but still, I would like to read some practical and plain sentences telling me clearly what to do and all that.
