Things are worse than ever at work. My manager was involved in the change of a policy that (I feel) stole weeks of bonuses from me, and because of this we have had a bit of a falling out. Many other policies are changing to become even more bureaucratic. I promised myself I wouldn't stay at this job longer than 3 years. I'm just a few months from that now. What should I do? 64.4 seems to say just keep going, but I'm confused by the tone. I've read in the memorizing threads this line being described as a cautionary tale and yet it is supposedly auspicious?

I have a small kernel of hope that 64 is telling me I'm on the cusp of a transition. But how can I transition if I am being advised to just keep going? Will an opportunity present itself or am I meant to be doubling down my efforts in finding the next thing? I feel adrift without a paddle right now. I've also asked so many questions about this job and feel I've been advised to just stay the course every time that maybe I am being reflected in hexagram 4. Has anyone got advice on this?

Thanks!

Hello heatwave!

What to do regarding my job? 64.4>4
The thing's aren't managed Yet; you're not Still(64) where you should be and Don't Know (4) what's going on.

64.2: "Liu: Continuing -- good fortune. Remorse vanishes. Great power is used to attack the land of the barbarians. Within three years, rewards from the Great Country."
Continue going to your job. Things will improve. At a time, one will act forcefully to take control- it can be you (to defend your position) or a superior who intends to exert discipline. Although it takes some time to reach the goal, all will be well in the end.

Good Luck!

So happy to see the forum up and running again! Love the update. Marybluesky, I have thought about your response so many times over the past month or so. It's like that a lot for me and this forum. I mean to come back sooner but get really caught up in my day-to-day life. It is fascinating to watch readings play out in a situation over time too.

I'm back to say with an exasperated laugh that you were so on point that someone was going to act forcefully to take control. That would be my boss dominating me in every aspect of my work life since that moment. It has been intense and brutal. Hope you are also right that all will be well in the end! I don't quite see how, but I still hope you are right.

All the best to you!

Odd that this mentions 3 years, as you are nearly at that point now.....
64. Not yet Across
Line 4:
Persistence brings good fortune,
aversion goes away.
Shock was used to attack the Ghost region.
The third year one was rewarded with a great country.
A firm and persistent approach improves the situation and makes things go well. One's initial aversion to the situation will go away. Working on this may take quite some time, but it leads to a long time advantage.

It is odd isn't it? Funny enough, I've had some sort of breakthrough today. I think everything is going to be fine, even if things continue to be difficult with my boss (who is out of town this week). I'm really feeling that I'll know what to do when the time comes and I can just keep going for now.
