Hi there

No questions about acting or selfish directors today :D

It's more of a spiritual thing..

I practice a buddhist wave which implies being part of a group.
Since I was ten years old I am experiencing problems in being part of a group, in school /work/holidays/ parties.. Everywhere.

In buddhism I have actually never joined one, I never followed a group officially, and not because I found problems, I just didn't join to avoid problems in the first instance!

So for the last 3 years I've visited several groups, always finding excuses to participate just for a few times and then leave and go somewhere else. And then come back again.

Yesterday I finally thought it's high time I joined a group and stick to that :hugs:

Two are the groups in option:
1) first group where I've been a few times, probably the group I've visited the most during these three years. It's not in my official area but it's still very closed to where I live.
What can this group give to me? 63.1.6>53
I've read that it can mean that I have already decided in a way (I would be more inclined to go here since I've been there a few times already). It also has something to do with ghosts and unfinished affairs (I have tried to quit them and follow a group in my official area but I kept going back to this one)
The two lines are gloomy though :O

2) second group
, it's in my official area, just born (they are both morning groups, that's why I started to go to the first one, because there were no morning groups where I live).
What can this group give to me? 30.3>21
30 is clarity which seems a good hexagram for buddhism
but 30.3 says I will miss the other group and say that things are not as they used to be

What do you suggest?

It may just be my own projection, but finding these readings do not offer encouragement toward joining either of these groups, I'm thinking they call to question your reason for desiring to join a Buddhist group. Doing the right thing is only half of the story; doing it for the right reason(s) is the other half, and other than your 53, which could represent transcendence, I'm not seeing right reasons. Even there, 53 seems to be more the context you're asking about rather than an answer.

There are two main schools of Buddhism, the big boat and little boat, and several others that are a bit more rogue or niche, such as Zen, of Japanese origin. There are ten schools in China alone, and Tibetan Buddhism is unique too. They vary widely in practice and philosophy, and I think it would be better to study the premises of these different schools before choosing a group to belong to. I suggest you are wanting this for the wrong reasons at present, at least that's what I get from your readings.

I would ask and answer the question of yourself, what do I hope to find in taking up this path with this or that group? Along with, what do I desire to find from a group? If it is only the sense of belonging to a group, I think you will be safer to join a secular group. Getting onto the wrong boat can take you places you may not wish to go, and one can lose themselves rather than find themselves unless they are prepared for such a journey. If you go the way of a group, you go where the group goes. Be certain it is where you wish to go, or sojourn alone.

Well in a way I'm happy about the fact that
hey, I'm starting to read correctly ;)
I had the impression that both readings were not so positive.

There would be a third group which would be the official one, but it's in the evenings and I would have decided to go to dances classes in the evening.. And I have often question myself whether I should renounce to dance classes and do the right thing (go to buddhist group!) (that I'm busy at night it's always been an excuse for not going to groups.. till I've found these in the morning)

By groups I don't mean "different buddhist groups", I mean groups of people to study with. The only buddhism I came across with is the Japanese one, and I think it's a way to change myself and be more connected and see things by other perspectives.

You're right about the first group, I'm after the context (I mean I think the people there might be more stimulating than those in the other group).
Generally speaking I find that people in these groups are somehow indoctrinated and that's probably why I have just visited from time to time.. But I wanted to try and bring something good myself instead of just passively hear what they have to tell me. I want to be active and also give to people!

does it make sense?

Do you think I shall cast on the official evening group or is it silly?

After one year I had started practicing this Buddhism I had a crisis and wanted to stop. I did a cast, and my friend said it was the best cast in the whole i ching. It was telling me not to stop.
I stopped anyway because I didn't want to be committed at the time. After a year, I started again. I am glad of the things that it has given me so far!

Yes, it makes sense to me if it makes sense to you.

I don't think it's silly to inquire about this third group.

I hope you find the path and fellowship you seek.

What can the official evening Buddhist group give me? 39.2.6>57

mmh.. 39 is the impediment.

I had decided to attend dance course Mon to Thurs as I feel I need it for my acting.
So it's actually an impediment which I chose myself and that I could decide to ignore (I could skip the Thursday lesson..).

Of all three groups which one?
