Why does he seem to have turned away from me? 31.2.4.6 to 57

I asked this question re: someone I've been interested in for a while: Why does [his name] seem to have turned away from me?He is just a friend. He recently broke up with his girlfriend. He initiated a lot of contact with me shortly thereafter. I feel there has been a longtime mutual attraction. But lately he seems to have cooled/put up a barrier/lost interest. He seems to have stopped initiating contact. Perhaps the feelings associated with the end of his longterm relationship have hit him, or perhaps he simply realized he isn't interested in me as I'd dearly hoped.

My interpretation (based on the James deKorne site):

31.2: I'm making assumptions about the situation that are inappropriate.
31.4: It would be better to let things be, relax, and let the situation unfold.
31.6: My assumption (that he has turned away/lost interest) is without merit.

57: Perhaps I'm trying to hard to get to the bottom of a matter I can't understand (?)

I don't know if Yi is answering my question, or telling me my question is indicative of wrong assumptions on my end.

I'm confused.

Why does he seem to have turned away from me? 31.2.4.6 > 57
31 is a man wooing a woman, but here the wooing has changed with three lines moving away from it.
There is a long delay (31.2) as he has many 'friends' (31.4) and talks a lot of hot air (31.6).
57 probably shows that he'll communicate with you again for more of the same.
