It has been two years and my ex has pretty much gotten to the point where he leaves me alone with the exception of talking to friends and attempting to gather intel from them about me. How I know this is that on practically the same day, different distant friends will approach me with basically the same questions and/or offers to see me. This has happened repeatedly with the same people, so I know he's using them in an attempt to reach me.

I have kept to myself for the most part, moved away and pretended to still live in the same city so he won't come looking for me. I won't go into details, but something happened tonight that leads me to believe that the ex wanted more info into my life and tried to hack several of my accounts online unsuccessfully.

I asked Yi, "Will Dumb@$$ leave me alone?" (Yes, I actually asked that...I was so exasperated at the moment) and received a 29.5.6 > 4 response. I'm confused. Is Yi describing the imprisonment I'm feeling with having to watch what I say, what I do to keep him at bay (he stalked me in the past)....or is this describing his current feeling of being trapped, not able to gather more information about me now?

I appreciate your insight into this query. I know it won't change what could happen, but at least I'll know if I need to be prepared for another round of crazy.

Since the question is about him, I'd take 29 as his limitation and 4 as his questioning.

If he asks two or three times, it is importunity.
If he importunes, I give him no information.
Perseverance furthers.

I think the implication is that he will continue to ask questions. I also think you should be straighforward with these "distant friends," ask them if DA asked them to contact you, and remind them how DA has harrassed you and that it is important that nothing about you gets back to him.

Pocossin, thank you so much for the reply. I really appreciate it. Your take on things does make sense in light of the fact he's continually trying to get intel on me. I'm glad to see he isn't making progress, however.

I have taken steps to firmly warn those who know him to not share info. If those stupid questions/offers come my way again, I'll verbally whack them on the nose with a virtual rolled up newspaper. Hopefully they'll get the hint and not be the go-between for the crazy man. Guess constant vigilance on this front will be required from here on out.
