Yet another static double 7.

A set of questions have left me unclear about their answers, that is, there must be "more to it."

I'm a freelancer and have been full time for about 5 yrs now. I get paid for what I produce. So if I'm not producing, I'm not paid. No benefits, no paid vacation etc. My work is basically steady throughout the year except for around New Years when all clients sign off and tune out until mid January. so I've come to expect that.
The past 2 weeks however has been silence. Mid April. Never happened before. Slowed to a trickle, *almost* zero. Not enough to sustain me long term. It's fine if this is a one-time thing but that begs a few questions: IS IT a one time thing, and if so why now? I have many clients. The chances that ALL of them would go silent at the SAME exact time is a bit unlikely...

1) What should I do? (noting i've already inquired personally with all clients and sent messages. Some are not even responding which is also bizarre).
51.4 > 24. "wait for improvement." Well....

2) Why are the clients silent?

Hex 7, the Army, twice unchanging.

I just read all hexagram discussions on these hex pairs so I have an idea of the various interpretations. But surely there must be more than just "wait for improvement"? And yet -- I have already covered the market with my own searches so there's no one else left to pitch to...which is scary.

I found this for 7: "The collective force of money and credit are not circulating: Static hexagram 7.
Like a stream blocked up under the earth, the world money supply is being hoarded by the banks."

So if the clients aren't getting money from THEIR clients (bc i'm the last dog on the food chain here) then that explains the slowdown, no "circulation." But when will it pick up? What can *I* do?

3) When will things pick up and level out.
Hex: 4 static twice unchanging "NOT KNOWING."

That's truly a shocking result, Elizabeth, when the I Ching gave you h. 4 . . .

And it's very scary to be your own boss and suddenly without work, and without income -- it goes without saying.

That was interesting, what you said about the failure of money to circulate. Could it be that your clients are not being paid or even hired at the present time? In any case, here is the advice R.L.Wing gives for hex 7 unchanging:

"Be open now and generous toward the feelings and needs of others. In this way you align yourself with humanity and increase your energies and resources."

I am wondering if there is some way you could offer several clients some form of credit or discount, to get the ball rolling again . . . I know you said you are the lowest on the totem pole but you can exert leadership anyway.

Thanks Ginnie for the reply. It is possible that client accounts are drying up and that it's being passed on to me. Because of the nature of the work, I (or others in my position) would have no warning of such things, as its considered confidential information regarding how much flow each company has and when.
I like your suggestion...your idea could work. ..tho it won't guarantee work if they too have none. Id probably want to offer it for just a short period bc in this profession if you lower rates they refuse to let you raise them, it all has to be put in a new signed contract etc...kind of a big deal.
