I was just clicking through the shared readings and I saw a fantastic Question posted by Tess,http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?t=13273 one that is not easily answered by the Yi, but one I would love to hear some feedback from.

I am a musician but often find it hard to maintain confidence in ever earning any money from this path, and recently have been searching for other means of feeling like i'm really giving back to the world. I feel that music is an indulgence that is rewarding personally, but i would like to feel like i have really done something worthwhile and at the moment i feel like i am a stagnant consumer constantly taking but not giving back.

I asked exactly Tess's question- what kind of career is best for me to persue?

53 1.2 > 9.

The waterwheel makes sure that the field will not dry out. The slow and constant supply of water makes the plants grow harmoniously, without stagnations, abundant.
The wild goose can only reach its far-away destination, and come back every year, by beating its wings second after second, never losing its strength or direction.
Every relation needs a constant supply of water, of feelings, regular love, day after day.
Starting something is usually not the most difficult part; it is harder to keep it going. Every day caring for it, feeding, repairing: every creation has to be kept alive day after day, year after year.

line 1:

The wild geese gradually approach the riverbank. The young ones are in danger. There is talk. Without fault.
Follow your intuition, your inner hunches. They will not give solutions, but they guide every step. You find your right future by a step and another step and on and on.

Line 2;
The wild geese gradually approach the huge rock. Eat and drink full of joy. Auspicious.
It's the small things together that make a relation strong and lasting. When meals are moments of peace and togetherness, when expressions talk of joy and love, when voices sound harmonious, then the relation will last a lifetime. Not words are important, but the feelings they bear.

I interpret this 2 ways,

1, if relating to the path i am on (music) that i have to keep putting the effort in day after day , to follow my intuition with regard to my music and i think line 2 is referring to harmony.

2, That I should be involved in some form of help to other people, to be the waterwheel which supplies others with growth?

line 1 somehow forming ideas that help other people?

line 2 creating a deep sense of connection and love between people without the use of words?

Hex 9:
Wind over Heaven, spreading the seeds.
A shepherd keeps his sheep calm through the calmness of his own mind. He lets his sheep find their own preferred kinds of shrubs and grasses, and just sees to it, every moment, that all are safe.
Hex.9 is the opposite of hex.16, with its big images and motivation. Xiao Chu is the small harvest, the profit which comes from steady work, from seeds growing into plants. Being content with the small gains achieved.
When one accepts the slow way in which nature works, one creates the space, where one's true path can unfold.

I would suppose this line talks of allowing everyone else to grow and my job would be to oversee their care?

My last interpretation might be that i should get into farming and also tend to sheep?? :D

Thanks,

Yx

A job in the entertainment industry
or a job that involves meeting people on a day to day basis.

Consulting perhaps?
