I have to make a preface to my enquiry: It’s been an incredibly stressful time for me and was about to take a semi-long vacation to regenerate and mostly to prevent a total breakdown.
I explain the situation in a previous recent post for which I cast the coins to better understand if it was the case to leave in a rush or wait to better organize my vacation and gather energies for it. This is the post about it:
Long story short, in accordance to what seemed to be the response of the oracle, I decided to postpone the trip.
Now, on the same exact day that I would have been supposed to leave had I decided to do go instead of postponing, I receive the news about something that destabilized me even more in a crushing way.

The matter of the fact is that there is this property I have been considering to sell, there’s still indecision about the how and when, but I’m quite sure now that it needs be sold.
On the day of the renounced departure I unexpectedly received an official offer for it and that has sunk me deeper into my state of exhaustion because the offer is set to expire in less than a week. So to spare you infinite minute details about it the situation is this:

I have been completely drained this last two years in terms of energies and capability of making decisions. This is a time where I need nothing other than quiet and relaxation, I think my health is at stake here. And once I decide to take a break but not to escape immediately, a significant occurring brings back me on the wheel to spin some more. If I give up the offer it could be cause of great regret but at the same time I’m in a state where the last thing I would wanna do is making a decision this relevant.

So I asked the Iching what I should do and the response was 52.2.5 => 57.
The image of stillness of the first hex speaks tons about my situation but I can’t interpret the changing lines and resulting hex. Can you kindly help with this?

Sorry for the long post. Thank you.

52.2 Something put in motion in the past catches up with you but now you no longer want to move forward with it. That sounds like you putting your house on the market and getting an offer and now being uncertain about selling.
52.5 Keeping Still is a good thing.

57. Gentle Penetration. A situation you must come to understand gradually.

Together I think the lines are encouraging you not to take this offer or at least not to force yourself to come up with an answer right this second. A week doesn't sound like much time but it is a week. How about you Gently Penetrate the situation? Ask questions, consider your options etc. No need to stress, just gently consider the possibilities. It can help to put things in writing, make lists of the pros and cons and then put the list aside and see what comes to you. I also get results doing what I call "suicide walks" - that is, you start off on a walk with the intention that you will not stop until you have your answer. It works!

Thank you Rosada. It was never put on the market, just word of mouth, so the official offer is very sudden and unexpected. How did you get to your 52.2 interpretation?

The only thing sensical now is to ask for more time, because of my personal situation and a ton of other reasons. But I can't be sure more time will be given. I have walked all day 😅 it helps with the mood but unfortunately no revelatory moments so far....

Sorry the long walk hasn't yet revealed the Divine Plan!

I'm assuming the offer came because someone heard through word of mouth that you might be interested in selling? If that is the case I think 52.2 still refers to you haulting something you set in motion even if you did not formally list your house, you triggered this offer, set it in motion just by mentioning your possible interest.
.
I got my ideas for 52.2 from Hilary's comments in WikiWing :

52.2
'Keeping your calves still, (Not certain you want to go forward with your idea to sell)
Not rescuing your following. (Not able to keep from disappointing those who responded to your original idea to sell)
Your heart not glad.' (You are not sure if you are doing the right thing.)

If you are in motion and abruptly still your calf muscles, this doesn't stop your momentum altogether - even if you wish it would, even if you are no longer at all enthusiastic about continuing in the same direction.

There is motion in a certain direction; you can stop part of it, but not all. Maybe you can't stop the consequences, or you can't rescue other people. There is no deus ex machina that can intervene from above and stop this unfolding; no parent to snatch up the toddler before he falls.

Yes you are assuming right. In this reading of yours I see more of a description of the situation rather than a suggestion by the Iching on what to do. Is this so?

Yes, I'm looking at this line as being a snapshot of the situation.
52.5 and 57 seem to be telling you what to do - say nothing until you have put your thoughts in good order and finally ask questions, sort things out, no need for snap decisions.
Or perhaps you were hoping the IC would cut to the chase and just tell you whether or not to take the offer? In that case I think you are being advised to make no sudden moves so no, do not accept this offer.

Thank you. That's actually the answer that I have in my heart as well.
