This question was torturing me for long...

Ok so let's say few lines change in a hexagram.
each line signifies some meaning however when line changes - that
actually mean that this meaning (e.g. positive) of hexagram CHANGES?
So if changing line says something is auspicious - is it really? or does it mean - this auspiciousness already changing into something else - like a missed opportunity.?
and is no longer what it represents?

Can I recommend you join Change Circle because there you can now access the Foundations Course which is a very clear well put together course, the only one of it's kind in the world for beginners or the confused or even for oldies like me because currently I am working through it too along with others on the forum. It says here

http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/shop/

that the Foundations Course is £50 but now for only £10 per month anyone can work through it and we have a 'Yi Academy' threads where we can discuss the modules together with Hilary. I think there are private groups run too at certain times but not so long ago Hilary made the modules, which comprise of videos or pdfs and questions and so on, available to all CC members. We have been have been having a lot of fun learning and working through the modules together and any one can join in at any time.

This is quite honestly amazing value and also the best way for you to get a clear answer to your question above. What you are really asking here is for someone to teach you how to interpret the I Ching. That's fine but it is quite a nuanced topic hence I suggest if possible you avail yourself of the fantastic learning opportunities over in CC. I mean the videos couldn't be clearer, they start right at the beginning and you can go through at your own pace. Also of course you get to practise with your own questions and so also get the input of Hilary and others in CC.

£10 or it's equivalent in dollars is pretty much the price of 2 magazines a month or a bottle and a half of cheap wine. It's not a lot of money for all the benefits. You also get access to WikiWing, a collective pool of shared knowledge and experience plus a more private forum to share readings.

I've not been told to promote this BTW although it might sound somewhat gushing .....it really is the first I Ching interpretation course of it's kind. Don't miss it is my advice.

Oh and ETA an added bonus is that if you join CC you do get to support this fantastic site so that it can stay open and develop further....and we all want that I think.
