I don't know what to make of this.

The repetition is probably important. I don't know if Yi's reminding you of the first reading to make some sort of point, or if it's fresh advice.

The questions are opposites, first "So I asked if now it is good to go forth with the selling process" and now how you can stop it. Yi says the same about both.
'Young bull's headboard.
From the source, good fortune.'

We still don't know who or what the young bull is, do we? The sale itself, the people involved, someone's aggression? At any rate the headboard is to prevent horns from being used.

Maybe you got it twice for opposite questions because it'll end the same no matter what? Just making guesses, I really have no idea.
In my view the bull is my sister who co-owns the property and has been pushing for the sale like a frenzied animal since the beginning. She's untamable now.

Another interpretation, that sounds less realistic to me, is that I could be the bull and should tame my resistance to the sale. But I am unconsolable about it, I am really getting sick over it. And the question on how could the sale be stopped wouldn't make sense if I was the bull to tame, because in that case the sale would go through.

Well... I hate to say this, but I had the same thought earlier today, that the bull was whoever was aggressively pushing and pressuring you, back when this started.

Hate to say it because in hindsight the first 26.4 to 14 reading might've meant put a hornboard on it, don't give in, don't let the bull use its horns.

Could be that this recent (second) 26.4 to 14, how can you stop it, essentially means you can't (not without lawsuits etc.). Like Yi's saying, "Remember this? Back then was the time to stop it."

Sigh. We'd vaguely poked at that back then - that maybe it meant don't do it - but not hard enough. The hornboard got drowned out by (maybe) you feeling like you should keep peace and not exert your will.

Where I get that: Relating hexagram 14 - money, exchange - might've represented the sale. In the Sequence, 14 comes from 13, People in Harmony. The fan yao, the coming-back line, is 14.4, "It is not for you to dominate, No mistake."

The relating hexagram is often your hexagram, how you relate, how it feels to you, how it seems subjectively to you, the context or background. Since it's yours, it can jump out very strongly. So, you were hesitant to dominate. Why? Because you were trying to keep peace.

Does that ring true?

After all it's hard not to want to keep peace in one's family, even if it means giving up things. It's even admirable. You had a terrible set of options: sell something you don't want to sell, vs. have trouble with your sister.

Wonder if that's why Yi told you this:
What will happen to me I we sell now? 24.5 —> 3
"Great-hearted return.
No regrets."

You're being generous and courageous, in the context of all this sprouting-energy and chaos. Yi says no regrets. "No regrets" is hard to see now, but Yi said it to you for a reason. Try your best to keep it in mind and take it to heart. Let time pass.

Could be. In order to stop it you would have had to have acted like a bull yourself, I guess.

Or...wonder if 26.4 could have meant try to take all of the aggression out of this, no matter whose. Then it's not so important to figure out who's the bull.

You disarmed your sister's aggression by going along with the sale. You avoided being aggressive yourself the same way.

At great emotional cost to yourself, but then see 24.5...

So you think it's basically saying "there is no way back from here"?

If I've understood correctly, you've said theoretically you could stop it, but you'd be sued and it would cost you a fortune.

If it's going to get stopped in some other way, it's nothing you know about or can make happen.

So unless you decide to go through the lawsuits and so forth, I think all you can do at this point is sit tight and see if it falls through for some reason on its own, or just try to internalize 24.5 if it ends up being sold. Do you see any other alternatives?

I don't see any alternatives. And I know not which one to pick. Not selling would be very dire. Selling makes me feel suicidal. One thing's for sure, If I ever use the IC again I would follow their advice by the word.

Keep looking at 24.5.

24 represents the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year, the low point. Which certainly seems like what you're describing. But it's also the turning point. Things will get better from here, in time. Spring always comes. The days get brighter. Winter darkness doesn't last forever, even if it seems to.

Also keep in mind that Return is an inevitable natural process. Spring follows winter inevitably, all on its own, without anyone having to do anything. All we have to do is trust it and let time pass.

The Image advises abiding by the seasons. If it's winter and snow is 3 feet deep and the roads are impassable, don't try to drive on them. Don't try to do impossible things that fight nature.

Keep staring at 24. There's lots of moral support there. Time will pass, this will get better.

Oracle:
"Returning, creating success.
Going out, coming in, without anxiety.
Partners come, not a mistake.
Turning around and returning on your path.
The seventh day comes, you return.
Fruitful to have a direction to go."

Image:
"Thunder dwelling in the centre of the earth: Returning.
The ancient kings closed the borders at winter solstice.
Itinerant merchants did not travel,
The prince did not tour the regions."

24.5:
"Great-hearted return.
No regrets."
