Update: the 8.5-2 reading came to fruition in 2017, almost 2 years later and the text of line 5 almost perfectly described the situation, the role came to me, some game ran off in front - the person who hired me but then abandoned the mission after he introduced me to the client and we had all the kick off meetings, causing me to sacrifice a couple of days pay. After a couple of weeks of drama, I set up a contract directly with the client and he was out of a job a couple of months later. Sounds like a great outcome, but truly I might have been better to let the entire opportunity run off in front as I'm still trying to wind things up and it's crappy.

I have this reading again and it doesn't even matter what the question was, I literally think of this pattern as a description of a lifelong challenge of mine that is as yet unresolved. It's actually written in this thread, the desire to live one way and the horrid situations I keep attracting along the road. I get this reading when I am asking questions that deny my path. The question cannot exist if I truly am "following" what I think I am following, so why am I asking it?
Instead of an "answer to a problem" the reading describes a pattern of events and responses that are completely familiar to me when I stop trying to use them as an answer that arrives from outside myself. More useful to wonder why would I show myself this pattern at this time?
Just like when I start spontaneously singing "I just got paid" the morning before I get paid and I have no prior facts as to when that payment is coming. Yes, I create the conditions for it to happen, and the singing is my higher self pressing the "go" button. Whatever actions I take to bring it about don't seem special or important... make a cup of coffee, resolve a long standing disagreement so the money gets flowing, go to the loo, ooh, I think I know how to fix that server issue... oh yes, that works. I might go to the park now, that sun is gorgeous. The trick is to follow the signs.
I attract some pretty dastardly devils on my path, I blame myself pretty much for every negative outcome associated with these times. Not in a pretend, oh please someone say something to make me feel better, kind of way. No. In serious doubt that I have any clue whatsoever about how to even be who I am and not make that a thing that causes difficulty for people everywhere I go (yes, that's an exaggeration, I also have the opposite effect where cranky people spontaneously smile at me and everyone responds to an off the cuff observation as though we all just won lotto). I consider line 1 in the past. Wilhelm on line 4 talks about what we attract. Line 5 is how I will move forward, by re-dedicating with sureness/sincerity at some point.
The dastardly devils, be they events, people or something else, can be considered evidence that I am firmly on my path, in that I am growing from the inside out. As my unique light grows it creates stark contrast to other perspectives at the same time as attracting more light. I'm not mid grey anymore, really dark or really light light, it doesn't matter, I am no longer in the centre when one of these situations arises. This would never be a challenge if I only interacted with like-minded souls, or only ate peaches and nothing else...
So, I write this here for next time I look this up and for anyone else who might find it useful. There is someone or something in the situation that is causing (or will result in) some type of self-doubt. To move forward, we must know that the messages from these people or events are not signs to follow. We need to follow our own path. Our signals come from within and are evidenced without when we act in the world with sincerity. Our internal responses are our signals.
For example, if someone or something has ingratiated themselves with you and is busy undermining everything you do, now would be a good time to start ignoring or distancing yourself or whatever, not by any specific intent, simply by allowing a return to the place of knowing where there are no such questions. But right now, you are taking in and giving a home to something or someone that unbalances you to the point where you don't know/trust your own signals.

Thinking about the "master"
Advice of 2 is that you find the master in the rear...
Go with the flow, go out and about, put things, and yourself out beyond the gate. Something has changed for their better, go out and find what it is.
Be aware some people will always doubt your sincerity, you may also doubt what you "follow" yourself!
Rest back in 2, the tireless mare seeking a master in the rear, lead by following, don't try to be in front here.
